    cobra pistons in a 2v?

Ok..misinformation all over the place. '96-'99 Cobras all use a different rod than the 2V engines. To the untrained eye-they look alike, but there are minute differences that make them able to withstand the higher revs of the Cobra better. The pistons in the Cobra are a 2.8cc dish, and are the...

PI cam swap on a 98Gt

You decide....idle... right click..save as And a WOT run from 20-120.... right click..save as The low speed idle is a bit touchy-but nothing a bit of rubber hose cut to length, and placed over the throttle stop for a shim until I can get the idle part of the tune fixed. It definitely...

    96-98 Cylinder (non-pi) Head Secrets

I really don't see a problem with the epoxy method at all. This allows you to use the NPI gasket, and it becomes a simpler swap I'd prefer to see it done on a new intake that has had no type of petroleum products on the surface, but it's worked fine for the used intake that I had on my car. JL

    96-98 Cylinder (non-pi) Head Secrets

My friend Kris modded the intake at his place with high-temp epoxy. He did that to transition the ports better than just bolting on the intake, and he actually has that intake back right now,and has it for sale-I've got a bullitt coming-it will be here tomorrow :) JL

    96-98 Cylinder (non-pi) Head Secrets

I'm not gonna play the "I told you so" game. This whole thing should make people look really hard at vendors, and what their motives are for talking down certain parts. These heads have yet to be tapped for the potential that they have. Remember, one of the guys that talked down the non-PI was...

    96-98 Cylinder (non-pi) Head Secrets

I find this whole thing really funny... I was called a moron,stupid,idiot,dreamer,etc..when I told people the same thing a year or so ago.And now,it's the hottest mod for a Non-PI car..about like the PI camswap that I was the first to do about 2 years ago as well. Livernois didn't do crap for...

This must be the best bang for the buck mod for Non-PI cars

Got any idea on what was used for years to make intake gaskets? Simply RTV by itself-and no gasket material at all. Adding a bit of RTV in the spot that the NPI gasket doesn't match up perfectly would be safe.Ever try to to remove a piece of cured RTV from a cylinder head or other engine part...

New PI intake for NPI heads available

I'll put it bluntly since you can't seem to see the painfuly obvious. There is only one n/a 4.6L Tbird that is within 5 tenths of my 1/4 mile times, and he doesn't have PI heads. That's with equivalent mods. Plain and simple. If that doens't help you see it maybe this will... Out of the entire...

if they did that you could also use a Bullitt intake-which is approx 1/2 the cost of the FRPP/SVO piece. JL

New PI intake for NPI heads available

Got a dyno sheet to prove that statement?Your 1/4 mile times sure as hell don't show it. I have data, and dyno sheets..and timeslips that show the NPI isn't a turd. JL

New PI intake for NPI heads available

It was my car that had the PI intake epoxied and installed.KD and I have been good friends for a few years now,and we both are convinced that the PI cylinder head casting by itself makes no more power than the Non-PI head does.KD did the work on the intake, and we met up at a dyno shop to install...

    aod behind 4.6

If you can locate an early 4.6L('91-'92) they had the old AOD bellhousing bolt pattern. The blocks aren't as strong as the later blocks with all of the cross-bolted mains, but if you wanna bolt up that AOD,it's about your only choice. JL
