    Hell, I rarely see it with 3:73's :rolleyes: Around town I usually run up to about 3k but not at WOT. On the track it doesn't get below about 4200, and only that low because that's where I launch :D .

    My Nitto's hook pretty well at the track as long as prep is decent. I still have stock tires on the front.. IMO, if you're not running at the track don't waste your money on dr's.

    Cheap mods

    Two big positive with the SLP. You can get the straight through pipes in addition to the cats and swap them out when you want. If you decide to upgrade to long tube headers you can take off a section of the SLP's and they will bolt right on.

    Or buy a hand held tuner (like the Predator or Xcal) which can adjust for gear changes, tire size, etc.. Plus you get the other benefits such as tuning (duh), mil eliminators, shift point and pressure adjustments (auto), data logging, diagnostic code reading, etc.. Well worth the $350.. :nice:

    Right.. I always hear it at drive thru's or when next to the median barrier on the highway with the windows down.. Mine has gotten progressively worse with each launch at the track.. Didn't start until I started going to the track.. Wonder what caused it? :D

    More like slow to not quite as slow.. :rlaugh: Seriously though, the gears help and installation shouldn't be too bad. Less than the cost of the gears themselves at least. Just make sure you go to someone that has done plenty of them. Even better, get referrals.

    I haven't had the "creek" but do have what you call the "whine".. When the clutch pedal is out (engaged) noise, when in (disengaged) nothing. For me it's been more of a sqeaking, and I've been told that it is most likely the throw out bearing. I have yet to take it in.

    As far as the "boom-bitch" factor I think a good tune and proper use will usually avoid that but yeah, you never know. It's just like axles.. Some guys run slicks all day long and never have a problem, others break them first time out. I would say that if you're racing or otherwise modding...
