    Painting the Dash

    Competely cover the front window and every other thing you don't want painted, before you spray. They make a special spray paint for vinyl if you come to a non metal area. I'd recommend a mask or resperator because spraying inside the car will get you high on fumes

    Just an FYI, i'm not sure what state your from but I heard some have hood height restrictions. I heard in PA that 3" was the limit....no idea if this is true but it would be something i would check out if i was buying a new hood. My .02

    SuperStroke17......I'd definatly pick up the hood for $75, especially since you know a body guy. I never repaired fiberglass, but i'm sure it's not super hard and 1" isn't much at all. Then drive it around till you can afford to get her painted. Mine is still primer gray.

    If you do an ebay search they sell the cowl inserts for fox bodies. You just bondo it to your hood then snad it down to match. You loose weight savings but you don't gotta deal with changing hood hardware and misallignment. You can also cut out the area of your hood uner the cowl to make it...

    Pro 5.0 :nice: But I really can't compare to the rest becasue I never tried them. The Pro 5.0 has proven itself for years. It has a solid feel to it and it has adjsutable stops. But I think whatever one you get, it will be better than stock and you'll be happy.

    MAP sensor....could be the problem. Will make the car run extemely rich, double check all your vacuum lines, you'd be amazed the difference a vacuum leak will make.
