    Slight IRS Wobble

I did an alignment myself on my uncles concrete floor in his garage which level. I have been doing this for years on both my cars and always had even tire wear. I made some DIY alignment tools from a thread on Corral, and did my rear alignment on Saturday. The camber was perfect and 0 degrees...

    Slight IRS Wobble

About a week ago, I swapped an IRS into my Bullitt from an '03 Cobra. Whenever I'm on the highway at speeds above about 50mph, I get an intermittent slight swaying of the car to one side or the other. The only way I can really describe it is that the car sort of feels like it's tramlining, but...

New Mods on the Bullitt w/ pics (IRS Content)

Exactly. I have to drive 32 miles round trip every day to work on the highway. Now that the leaves are starting to fall, the ground gets a lot of dirt and dust floating around which makes everything get super dirty. I just need a damn garage to keep the car in, then I'd be happy and it would...

New Mods on the Bullitt w/ pics (IRS Content)

They were polished by the previous owner, but not that well. I needed to get the car together because it's my DD so I just hit them with some Flitz polish to clean them up a bit, and bolted them up. When have some free time, maybe over the winter, I'll take the tails off, get a case of beer, and...

New Mods on the Bullitt w/ pics (IRS Content)

Thanks for all the compliments guys! Unfortunately I don't have any progress pics during the install because I didn't wanna get my DSLR dirty which is my only camera, and I didn't have any buddies there that weren't dirty from working on the car. I really should just buy a cheap point-and-shoot...

New Mods on the Bullitt w/ pics (IRS Content)

Yea the ride is amazing compared to my SRA. No comparison. You'll love the IRS, I've only had it for a few days and I LOVE it. Thanks man, just another one of the perks of the IRS!

New Mods on the Bullitt w/ pics (IRS Content)

Last weekend a guy from SVTP and I swapped my SRA for his built IRS out of his '03 Cobra. What a deal! Straight trade for both of us, he really wanted the SRA because he had 600hp and didn't want to blow the IRS, and I wanted a better ride and better handling. I traded my solid axle, Magnaflow...

Baddest Video ever Oh and my 1/4 times

Very nice! With some faster shifting and some sticky tires, you'll be mid-low 11's for sure!

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Oh yes!! I had Magnaflows before I did the swap so it'll be the exact same sound as before. I love how they are so tame when cruising around and at idle, but even with the catted x-pipe, they scream at WOT! I absolutely love the tone, they sound sick. I just pulled the trigger on the...

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Yea that was my thoughts too and I wanted 'Packs, but at 2500 rpms at 70 on the highway every day for work, I think I've decided to stick with Magnaflows. I found a guy on SVTP selling some from an IRS catback for $100 shipped. I think I'm gonna do that and sell mine. Maybe even break even.

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Awesome, thanks for the input. I actually planned on probably getting some MM urethane ones, although I took the car for a quick rip around the block today and there is no wheelhop, no real deflection that I felt, and didnt have the dreaded "Cobra Clunk". Pics will come next week. The car is...

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

UPDATE: First guy who wanted to swap fell through due to motor issues with his car and wanting to address them instead. Yesterday on SVTP, a guy posted wanting to do the same trade. The subframe, control arms, and the Bilstein shocks had 79k on them, the halfshafts had 24k on them out of his...

    how much horsepower?

Great info FastDriver! I was going to mention something along the same lines hinting towards the fact that, other than the cam, you have some great parts. Honestly, if it were me I'd change the cam, get a really good tune, then focus on getting the rest of the car set up. I'd be willing to bet...

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Thanks for the info! I have looked into the Full Tilt Boogie Racing IRS kit and it looks pretty sick, and very complete, but I can't even think about spending $700 on bushings right now. Maybe when I get my tax return. I'm sure it makes a huge difference in the way the IRS feels but, again, too...

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

I think the IRS will be better for what I want the car to do, so as long as everything goes well, it will be in the car this weekend.

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Thats what I'm hoping. Right now the car handles great, and the ride is decent; probably about as good as stock with the current suspension (Bilsteins, MM front coilovers w/250 lb springs, and the stock rear Bullitt springs cut a coil in the rear). I'm hoping with the IRS and some nice rear...

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Thanks for the info! I think its gonna have to get installed in a few weeks. I don't really drive the car that hard so I'm not too worried. It would just be piece of mind.

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Gotcha. Sounds like a brace should be purchased and installed before the IRS goes in the car. Are the a pain in the ass if it's installed after the IRS is in the car, say in a few weeks?

SRA to IRS Swap - Opinions Please!!

Yea, the brace will be the first thing I get, along with some urethane subframe bushings. If the diff is leaking, is that a gasket, or just silicon RTV gooped in there?
