    I like the napa block tester, you fill it with fluid then put it in place of the rad cap, start the motor and with a pump thing you pull the rad gasses through the fluid and if the fluid turns color then carbonmonoxide is in your water system, - [see blown headgasket]-

    how many people have recently had there car hit 100,000 miles.

    iv got 170.000 bought it with 19.000, stock clutch and cable, stock alt stock trani, untouched air never charged and blows cold, will freeze you, just today i replaced the pluge wires, i did replace the fuel pump at 100.000 so i would not get stranded and water pump about the same time, 2years...

    It gets the same gas milage it has always got, I have regaped them about 3 times and they are always real clean, we have owned it since 19000 miles, we will see when it starts acting up i will spring for new wires and plugs

    my 95GT has 170000 ,we,r the 2nd owner the only thing that has been replaced on the motor is water pump and starter, it still has the org clutch and plugwires and plugs [regaped] and gets 27 mpg on the highway and burns NO oil or leakes NO oil it is all stock and is are DD

    you could go to the autowrecking and buy a good explorer motor that sounds good and does not smoke, and use the explorer heads and intake---- or buy a 331 stroker kit and put it in your motor with a trick flow top end that way you would have a trick flow stroker motor

    you have to check the depth before you dissasamble, I wrote mine down 2.532 and I [think] the back lash is 8 tho

    if its not broke dont fix it, if your wires are bad you can lift the hood at night with the motor running and see spark jumping out of them or mist watter on them in the day and see it, I have a stock 95 GT with 165.000 miles and the original wires and it still gets 27mpg on the highway, dont...

    how hard to replace MFS switch ??

    I talked to the parts man at our ford dealer, he said its simple to replace the mfs switch, just un screw the top and bottom plastic pices betwen the wheel and dash then you just unbolt and unplug the mfs switch

    to clean--- the end of the switch pops off, use a knife or somthing , its just a snap in cap
