    Yeah, the cam makes the firing order, not the crank, I'd put my money on you have a non HO cam. That means you have to change the injector harness around too doesn't it?

    Tranny Issues.

    Try reaching your hand up to the quadrant, and push the pedal just a tiny bit, the grab the quadrant and pull it counter clockwise, it should click. Then try to shift and drive it, if it works, then you should get an aftermarked quadrant.

    AOD Interchange

    That's not accurate. In some trucks and vans they had the wide ratio gears, along with super coupes. AODE is "electronic". I've never seen a difference in tailshafts either, that would mean that the output shaft is different too, and I've only seen one, and I've built quite a few.

    Did you just put a 140 face on a 85 speedo? I didn't think that would work, I could be wrong.

    Go with the Trickflow Stage 1. Idle sounds great, nice lope, will shred the tires off the line, and pulls great at 3500+, and I have stock unported heads, the cam made a huge difference. It's cheaper too.

    I'd use arp head studs, I have a friend that kept blowing the heads off his turbo'd stang. That solved his problem till he gets oring heads.

    I did it, I would hook up the egr though, I did, search for jricher , he had a post about egr deleting, it can cause problems, but the pump won't.

I got the fitting to put in the spark plug hole, and hook it up to an air compressor, that keeps the valves up.     very high miles...5.0 vs 4.6

    My old 88 with 273 gears and speed density went for 32-35 mpg on the highway. At the track with street tires, it ran 14.3 with 180,000 miles on it, and bone stock except for the removed air silencer. Plus, fox bodies look better. (just my opinion) :)

    If you run 1.6 you can run the stock valve springs. If not, buy a set of aftermarket heads or go with thumpers, It'll save you the headache of bending all your pushrods and breaking rockers.

    put a new seal in, and lube the driveshaft with trans fluid before intalling it.
