    The 4r70w won't hurt you much. Get a decent 3200 rpm converter and some 4.10's you'll be good to go.     Lol. So far, with nothing more than an O/R x-pipe, Flowmasters, and a CAI, I've ran a best of 14.19 @ 95.26. I just finished putting Strange adjustable struts and shocks and Eibach drag springs on my 98 GT. I'm hoping for 13's this Friday night. :D

    :stupid: The best bang for your buck is gears. I'd suggest 4.10's. also a short throw would be another good one as Barnaby mentioned. You'll be missing 3rd quite often with the stock shifter, if it's a manual. :nice:

    a relatively stock non-PI 96-98 GT has ran in the 1/4??? By relatively stock I mean not much more than a CAI and aftermarket exhaust, since thats about as close to stock as you can get anymore.

    working on my own crap. I started Friday and after fighting a spring compressor for 2 days, I used a pry bar and finished it last night. I finally got the front Eibach drag springs and Strange adjustable struts on. This is the first time I've ever done more than take a wheel off suspension wise...
