    Id buy neither! small trucks suck! ive owned 1 ranger(2.8) and 3 s10s(2 2.8's and a 2.5) and a toyota (22r) the toyota got the best mpg(21mpg whoopty crap my mustang is alot better!) the ranger got 14mpg the s10s same deal except the 4cyl it got 20 if you babied it.     I wouldnt get jack for a 96 gt with 200k+ anyway. The only other solution is replace the keyswitch then my doors and ignition are keyed diffrent etc. what a pita!

    Ive NEVER lost a key. but i have broken 3 of them in 3 years. stupid ignition is half wore out and the ears around where the key goes in spin freely. 201k=lots of starting

    I have a catted X with flowmasters and it sounds great! it sounded lame and droned badly with the factory 6 cat h pipe but its a million times better now! and it almost eliminated the drone! OR X with flowmasters would be even better!

    I did have to recently replace motormounts and the NPI plastic intake crossover took a sh** at 140k. Clutch because it was getting weak.. other than that brakes and tires... Like i said i run the crap out of it. i never let it warm up i drive 750miles a week and get on it at least twise a day...

    I forgot to mention why everything was sagging/ not lined up properly etc. I discovered a bad motor mount passenger side it was letting my o2 sensor hit the frame and bent the crap out of it! replaced the mounts and all is good just need to replace the flange gasket again it leaks just a bit...

    I tried shifting closer to 6000rpm didnt seem to make much diffrence.. Main problem i was seeing was not being able to launch hard at all.. almost had to get rolling then lay into it. feathering the clutch at 3000rpm was a no go all i did was eat the tires throuugh 3rd gear. 2000rpm and slipping...
