I love the look of the funny car cage.... At Orlando Speedworld they dont check for cage cert's on test and tune night, they just see if you have a cage for how fast your going. They called me out the last time i was there cuz i was almost in the 10's with no cage, so they made me run 1/8 mile...

Yeah, mine also "was-is" a street car, it hardly ever gets driving on the street... I'm still thinking about turning it into a full blown drag car or not. But the way these a-pillars bars are, it might get annoying to some people or maybe not. Ill snaps some picture for you in a little bit. -AJ

Yeah sure can, when i go back out ill snap some pics. I was not able to get the a-pillar bars as close as i wanted to because they are just straight bars... If they would have added another bend to the bar it would have looked alot better and wouldnt have stuck so far away. I could have went to...

That is with a '96 GT Rear end with Disk brakes. I guess the '96 is 3/4" per side longer than the stock 8.8? But i got a '90 8.8 off of a friend and that is what i'm getting shortened. Those wheels are Weld Prostars 15x10 w/6.5 BS I'm uploading pictures of all the progress right now, so...

I never ran those tires at all, i just put them on to see the fitment of them. I had some ET Streets 275/4x/17 and every time i launched the car it would squat on the rear tires and make the car unload itself. So now I'm making the new tires so they can tuck if i ever get a hard launch, i don't...

9" Housing Ends with 96 GT Disk Brakes?

I looked on Moser and they offer a 8.8 end housing that accepts a small ford 9" bearing. It says will fit "most" 8.8 brake system. I think thats what I probably need, that should let me be able to run the 9" non c-clip axles and still run my disk brakes. -AJ

9" Housing Ends with 96 GT Disk Brakes?

When you say the caliper bracket are you talking about the stamped steel peice with the 2 holes that held to the axles tubes with a U-Bolt? -AJ

9" Housing Ends with 96 GT Disk Brakes?

I'm wanting to get my 1996 GT 8.8 rear end shortened from a local drive-line company. They told me to upgrade to 9" housing ends, so i can run bigger spline axles which i was wanting to do. I just wanted to know if the disk brakes from the 1996 GT Rear End would bolt up to the new 9" Ends. -AJ

    POWDER COATED WELDS??

A lot of the pro5.0 dragsters have black weld alumastars, i think they look pretty good. I dont like the draglites in black but prostars or alumastars i think would look awesome. -AJ
