I have a SD 5.0L with stock heads/intake and 1.6 roller rockers. What would be the best cam for my application. I want more performance than the stock cam offers.

Any suggestions?
I am running the stock heads. Had them completety rebuilt and added some roller rockers. Didn't consider upgrading the heads due to SD. The motor is being assembled now so swapping out the intakes won't be a problem.
I am just looking to make my car perform the best under the SD setup. The car won't be a daily driver and will be used on the track once in a while. I don't think I want to go mass air at this point. I am leaning towards the Edelbrock Performer 5.0 as it flows best in the upper RPM band and only...
The Explorer GT-40 makes more HP and TQ 2,200 - 4,000 RPMS. The Performer 5.0 makes more HP and TQ 4,200 - 6,200 RPMS. But the differences were not big between all three. So I have another intake to consider now.
Found an AFM article with dyno results. They tested all intakes on the same engine. Needless to say it was not an SD car. Its a good comparison throughout the RPM's.
Trickflow street EFI or Edelbrock Performer 5.0 intake manifold. Which one would be better for my SD 5.0L? I am going to use an Accufab 70mm throttle body on the intake. Anybody running either one of these?
My car originally came with 2.73's. I used to get anywhere from 22-28MPG's over the course of the life of the original engine. I now have 3.73's waiting to go in once the rebuild is over. I never got more than 16 in the city.
I put some in my Probe GT and quickly got it out after researching the internet on it. I had just replaced the radiator and did not want to ruin it. The problem seems to lie in lack of maintenance and mixing coolant. Either way its bad news unless your car came with it from the factory.
Make sure your hoses and coolant are good. Carry a spare belt. I used to live in Philly. I moved to FL in 1988. I make that drive a lot. I driven it in all kinds of weather. The 5.0L was made to run on the highway. At least that is how I felt. The Carolina's will seem like the longest part, its...
Thanks. Looks like I will go with the Performer 5.0 intake. Just have to decide on the right TB size for my setup. I found a good deal on the intake and they suggest going with an Accufab versus an Edelbrock TB.
Ok so a larger throttlebody and the right intake kit for no power loss will work. I want an intake that doesn't fall off like stock set up, and no lower lower RPM power loss.
I am in the process of assembling my engine after a rebuild. The EGR studs are toast and so is the stock EGR spacer. So, I can either find a junkyard spacer and get the Trick Flow stud kit or go another route.
What are other SD cars running as far as an intake and TB? I am thinking about an...
I always replaced my struts/shocks with KYB. I would not consider them cheapos like something from a parts store rack. But no they aren't Koni's or Tokicos.
Hey thanks for the offer. Thats a nice gesture. I just might take you up on that. I am on the westcoast, but my engine is in Kissimmee right now. So coming up to Orlando is not a problem.
What I meant by not wanting to covert to MA, was if I had to go with another intake setup that would...
