Cheap speedo solution for 3.55:1 or larger

Hey Stangers, If you are running 3.55:1 or larger gears, and a T5, you will not be able to get the right speedo gear to make your speedometer correct. The largest driven gear, for T5s, is 21 teeth and you need a 23 teeth gear to work with the drive gear found in our 94-95 cars...

yep, another help me with a cam choice question

Hey Grady, A little update.. I went with the TFS stage 1 and the car is on the road. Lets back up because I'm home sick and maybe this will help others. It took 4 days to do the engine swap. One day was dedicated to fixing the bent radiator core support. The car was in a front ender...

    Oil level sensor

OK, It looks like the light will not come on if the connector is not hooked up to the sensor. I would like to reinstall the sensor so I just need to figure out what type of connection it is. Searching found one post saying it's 1/8 NPT but I don't think thats right as other posts talk about...

    Oil level sensor

Guys, 1. If I use a pan w/o this sensor, how to I keep the light from being on? 2. If I have a replacement sensor, can I install it in a pan that does not already have the hole for it? I don't know if I can tap the pan or what. Eric

yep, another help me with a cam choice question

Thanks for the input, Guys. I went with a TFS stage 1. I did a mild port on the Y303 heads and also did the lower Cobra intake. I will let you know how the idle works out. Eric

yep, another help me with a cam choice question

Ok Guys, My big summit order arrived and a made a mistake. Instead of a E303cam, I ordered the B303 cam. I have done some research and I need to decide if this cam will work for me. I am running a 331, 9.7:1 KB forged, GT40Y with a mild port and cleanup, FMS springs good for .650 lift, BBK...

    Fox vs SN95 decel observations

The only feedback I have for you is that if you that Gradys method pulling the ICS worked on my Foxes but didn't do so well on my Sn95. My SN95 idle was unstable at lower air bleed setting. One of the tricks often talked about, with the Tweecer crowd, is that you should see ISC duty cycle...

    Fox vs SN95 decel observations

I'm still learning about the SN95 but this is what I think I know: The throttle stop function is to prevent the throttle from going to far closed and sticking. It should be adjusted as far closed as you can w/o sticking. To test for sticking, with the engine off, pull the TB open and let is...

    Fox vs SN95 decel observations

I have owned four Fox mustangs and now I have my first SN95. All of my Foxes, Auto or stick, would decel as soon as you let off the throttle. The SN95 seems to wait a while before the ICS allows the RPMs to drop. Maybe it's the difference in the tunes used by the A9X family vs the Sn95...

    My $600 '94 Vert

Hi Stangnet, Almost finished with the new top. What a job but $900 is big money! Once the car is back on the road, plans include an engine rebuild. GT40Y303 heads are already in hand as well as a cobra intake, E303 cam, 65 MM TB, 24# MAF and injectors will keep me having fun between the...

    Draw Through v.s Blow Through?

There is no difference with respect to how the meter works. With respect to how it is installed, there are differences. A draw through will usually have a flange that can attach to the air cleaner. A blow throgh will not have a flange and look the same on the inlet and outlet so they can...

    .030 milled from a GT40Y head OK?

Stangers, I have a set of Y303 heads that were O-ringed. I want to mill off the O-ring groves and use them on my '94 5.0L. When this is done, the heads will have had .030 milled from them. I would like to know if I can still use these heads and what problems I need to watch out for.

Need a measurement from a Vert

The rubber isolators are installed. It must be the H&R 94-06 springs that have dropped the car so low. Thanks, Eric

    $600 Vert Saga, Chapt 2

Hi Mustangers, I had a full day to work on the Vert. I fixed a few things and found some problems, here is the run down. I learned that resetting a 52 air bag code does not clear out the 82 code. After I cleared the 52, the 82 showed up. I decided to clear again and it went away. I guess...
