    cutting factory springs.

Don't cut the stock springs. The ride is really firm and gets annoying rather quickly. When I bought my car the previous owner had cut the springs to lower the car about 2". Now the springs have weakend and the rear end is smacking the bumpstops on bumpy roads. Now I'm forced to go out...

how much boost with out msd btm

Well I just installed a BTM on my 92 GT today and put a 9# pulley on my powerdyne. I am running 10* base timing. I started with 2* retard per psi and have worked it down to 1/2* retard per psi and still haven't had any detonation. I ran out of time today to back off the retard any more. I may...

My Stang is Sick!!! Help needed

About a week ago I noticed my engine was starting to have a rougher idle than normal. A couple days later on the way home my check engine light started coming on whenever I coasted or hit the brakes with the car in gear between 2000 and 1500 rpm but as soon as i gave it any gas it would go right...

    mmmm superchargers

I have also heard of people running 11 and 13lb pullies but according to powerdyne and others they are running on borrowed time. Running that small of a pulley overspins the bd11a and will lead to premature failure of the bearings.

    mmmm superchargers

The 9lb kit is just a pullied 6lb headunit but comes with fuel pump, bypass valve, and timing retard chip. I have the 9lb pulley and I plan on putting it on as soon as my MSD BTM comes in. :D

    mmmm superchargers

I am currently running a Powerdyne BD11A set at 6#s on my car and really like it, especially for the price I got ($1450 for complete used kit (8,000 miles) with bypass valve, 24# injectors and 75mm Pro-M maf). It has been on the car for almost a year now without any problems. The only complaint...

    Help!! Weird Heater Core Problem!!

Ok I'll try the Ford one this time with z28kla's restrictor... I have used a restrictor on one of them and it still blew, but that was the one from the local no name parts store. Hopefully this will fix my problem because I'm really getting tired of having to replace these stupid things.

    Help!! Weird Heater Core Problem!!

Over the past three years I have had to replace the heater core each year about this time every year. Mine went out again today. What could be causing me to keep blowing them. I put new antifreeze/distilled water mix in each time. I've used three different heater cores and none have lasted any...

    Good but quiet exhaust

Another vote for super turbos. Have them on my car with o/r xpipe and they are about as quiet as stock... At WOT they have a nice growl to them but not nearly as loud as flowmaster 40s. Also no drone.

It is controlled by a thermostat that turns it on at 180*. The fan is attached to the factory shroud and sits right up against the radiator... maybe a quarter inch off of it.

Put on electric fan now Im overheating!!!

I just installed a Zirgo 3300 cfm 16" electric fan in place of the factory clutch fan on my 92 GT. Now my car overheats! I figured that this should be plenty of air considering the flexalite electric fan only pulls 2800 cfm. Any suggestions???

Should I put on Edelbrock intake or wait??

I have a 92 Gt with a Powerdyne BD11A on it. I recently bought an Edelbrock Performer intake with ported lower at a swap meet. I plan on buying a Thumper heads and cam package in the next few months. Is it worth the trouble of putting on the intake now or should I wait till I get the heads and...

    Tokico or Eibach Spring/Shock combo???

My 92 GT currently has cut stock springs and original struts/shocks and rides terrible. When I bought the car it already was like this. It didn't bother me at first but now I just flat hate the ride. It makes me not want to drive my car :nonono: I still want to keep the lowered stance though...

I need some help deciding which heads to buy. I can get the GT40Ys for $700 brand new assembled. These will be going on a 302 with edelbrock performer intake with ported lower and powerdyne bd11a currently running 6# and soon to be running 11psi.

    What cam for this setup???

I am in the process of building my engine combo for my 92GT. In the end I will have a powerdyne bd11a running 9#s, 75mm maf, 70mm tb, edelbrock performer 5.0 with ported lower, thumper heads, 42# injectors, 1 5/8 longtubes into a o/r x pipe. This is going on a stock 9.2:1 compression engine...
