Ive got a problem, need help please!

The crank they gave me back was my crank out of the 68 302, it was already turned .10, all they had to do was polish it. So it never had a pilot bearing/bushing. I wish it was that simple, but thanks anyways :nice:

Ive got a problem, need help please!

The only thing that changed was the block itself. I originally had a 68 302, but now i have a 74 302. I thought they were all the same  Am i wrong?

    Flywheel Shield

Yeah i would just try to straighten it with a hammer before buying a new one, i did this just a few days ago. I used a big rubber deadblow mallet to get is semi straight and then a small ball peen hammer to get it flat, worked great :nice: Good Luck :)

Anyone tried p0r-20 or jet hot yet?????

FYI, this stuff goes a long way. I painted a set of manifolds w/ 3 coats, and a set of full length headers w/ 2 coats and it has barely used a 1/2 inch of paint from the can.

    Cracked cast iron manifold

If you TIG weld it then it doesnt need to be pre-heated.

Anyone tried p0r-20 or jet hot yet?????

Are you talking about painting the mufflers as a test before going and painting the headers? The paint on the mufflers would probably hold up better than the paint on the headers, due to the reduced temperature

Anyone tried p0r-20 or jet hot yet?????

I used it on a set of manifolds and it held up pretty good, except for the oil that got spilled and burned on  Unfortuanetly if it is not a thermal ceramic coating like ''Jet Hot", then it will eventually succumb to the extreme heat of the headers, paint just doesnt hold up to the heat...

    Re-Tapping Sparkplug hole.

Why would you risk it? Its not your car, so if he is ok with it then do it, but its something that i would never advise someone to do. Good Luck
