    Electric Fan 90 5.0

Yeahhhhh. That fan isn't going to cool anything. 5 amp?! I used a 16" Be-Cool and while it does keep the car cool, EVERYTHING is new. I'm using a Derale adjustable switch to trigger a relay (I know the derale has a relay built in, but using it to trigger a relay so that I can use a larger...

Code 66. 1967 With 87 Harness And Maf

Yup. As I said, reading approx 1 volt at idle between the signal wires. MAF has 12v hooked up through a relay, signal wires go to ECU as they should. Code 66.

Code 66. 1967 With 87 Harness And Maf

Also meant to add.. When it's running and up to operating system.. If you unplug the maf sensor, it does NOTHING.. acts like you didn't touch anything.. Like the sensor wasn't there to begin with.

Code 66. 1967 With 87 Harness And Maf

I bought an 87ish donor car, and upgraded the wiring for MAF. The car starts, runs, drives, but surges a little bit, and once it hits operating temperature, runs worse. ALso, VERY rich. Burns your eyes to be behind it. I went through the MAF checklist that others have posted for code 66.. At...

    No Maf Signal

Using Sd Ecu (da1) With Maf Car?

For testing purposes, is there any problem with using my ols DA1 ecu in a car that is CONVERTED to MAF? I recall adding the 2 pins for the signal on the MAF (the power was powered off relays in my setup I believe), and IIRC, there are some smog electronics that have to be moved around.. But I...

    Drivetrain Need A Stock Yoke For 88ish 5.0 T5. Is M-4841-b Correct?

Thanks guys. THis is on a 67, so driveshaft would have to be custom made. Not doing that just yet. But that looks like a stock replacement? Uses the same U-joints as a fox? (I think I took the yoke and driveshaft from a fox, chucked the driveshaft, and had some u-joints that mated with...

    Drivetrain Need A Stock Yoke For 88ish 5.0 T5. Is M-4841-b Correct?

Have a bit of a leak out the back of the T5 in my 87-89 (Not sure of exact year, I just used the drivetrain) 5 spd. The yoke seems a little rusty where it rides in the seal. Is a FRPP M-4841-B the stock replacement? Or is there something different about that one (u-joints, etc?). What else...

Electrical Easiest Way To Monitor Sensors In 1989 5.0?

The only reason I ask about the Scantool mt2500 is i remember on an 80's GM car I had it could do realtime data logging, and that was OBD1.. Doesn't work on a Ford?

Electrical Easiest Way To Monitor Sensors In 1989 5.0?

Thanks guys! So, moral of the story is, DEFINITELY need some sort of piggyback chip then? that's a bummer, was hoping for something cheap and easy just to check out those 2 sensors (primarily). On a related note.. The snap on scan tools.. IF i recall, I thought those had the ability to monitor...

Electrical Easiest Way To Monitor Sensors In 1989 5.0?

I have a 1988 5.0 with EFI installed in my 1967 (I converted to MAF, so let's call it a 1989). I'd like to see what the sensors are doing, if the ecu coolant sensor is picking up the correct sensor, and if the VSS Is reading anything at all, etc, etc. What is the best way to do this? Is my...

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

Sure, no problem. Twould be appreciated. I was looking through "Veryuseful.com" but it's not very helpful for such specifics, and I of course only have 67 manuals. I'm just starting to wonder if, if i'm using a 1987 harness (I may be?), if anything has to be done like it does for the 88-89+...

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

Hey, sorry for the late reply! I don't see the picture you posted, just "Image Not Available". Here is the back of the harness that I believe should have the jumper. Disregard the snipped white/pink wire. Should just be the low oil switch I believe?

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

I pulled it all out of a donar car that a 5 spd.. but if it came with a 5 spd originally, I have no idea.. but the computer wasn't an a9l to begin with obviously. But what I can't tell is there seems to be no pictures of the difference for 87 SD harnesses.. Just pictures of the later years...

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

Oh man, so confused. :D Thanks for the reply. So this applies even though I started with an SD harness, and then added MAF? What do you mean by transmission is more critical? Thanks!

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

Well I did attach a picture.. Not quite sure where it went though!

O2 Harness Differences. Jumper Wire. Does It Matter For A Sd Harness?

So I had installed a 1988ish 5.0 in my 1967 a few years ago, and then added MAF, and switched the computer to an A9l. I had also moved the MAF and O2 power to all run off a relay to lighten the electrical load. Then only recently, it was brought to my attention that there is a jumper...

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

Never heard of anyone using a residual valve on rear discs, unless they are higher than the M/C or some such.. Using the correct power pedal. I guess all I can do is change the M/C and see what kind of difference it makes. Or test the pressure at each caliper, but I really don't feel like...

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

Yeeeeeah, I apologize for that. But it's still helpful to the OP. ;) Remanned Bendix. I was alternating between 10 and 15" vacuum.

Aluminum Master Cylinder - Manual Disks?

Nah, SN95 discs in the rear, stock 68's up front. SN95 master, plumbed correctly (front to rear, etc), going into a simple Tee for the fronts. Rears go directly from the M/C to the prop valve. As I said, I'm stumped. Vacuum is good.
