    99+ GT+mods, or Cobra?

Thanks, guys. I also like corner carving so I might end up doing a full Griggs Racing suspension. thanks again

    AFR 185's or 205's?

It's not a very big cam for a 393, but I'd say you'd get around 500hp with 185s and 530hp with 205s. I am better with the 302 based engines for predicting HP though. And the tune will vary this greatly. Mustangs and Fords built a 331 with ported AFR 185s and dyno tuned it to over 500hp. You have...

    99+ GT+mods, or Cobra?

Let's say I hypothetically had $14,000 to spend on a Mustang. I could get a 99 or 2000 GT and maybe put a supercharger on it for that amount of money, or just buy a 99 Cobra. Would a 99ish GT for 9000 bucks be too run down to put boost through it? Or should I just get a cobra?

New in this place, 01 Cobra, couple ?'s

Clean the engine again, maybe you'll find a supercharger ;)

Reading this thread makes me want a new Mustang so much that it hurts

A BIG FU to HOt Rod Magazine!

To most import kids an STI is like a Z06 is to one of us. Stock WRX drivers know they don't have a chance. And the word on the street is basically to not mess with 03 Cobras. There will always be the uninformed, so you just have to scare them, and then you will be king of the hill. A great way...

ps sorry to bring up an old thread...didn't see that :(

    Cam Doubts

I'm interested to see how it runs b/c of the things I've heard about the Roush 200 heads (such as the exhaust flow peaking at .300 at around 140cfm, which may not bode well for spray) but they may have fixed them since last year. How big is the engine?

    351W vs 302 HO

351w has a different intake, firing order is different than a non-HO 5.0 but the same as a 5.0 HO. You'll need a new flywheel too I think. 351W block is just as strong as any aftermarket 302 block save for the Dart blocks...

my car for those who remember me

I think they were around 130 bucks. I had to drill holes in the car  and sand them a little bit, but the look is worth it. I'm going to end up drilling a bigger hole in the car when I go to duct air to my rear brakes, but you may not go that far. Mustangs Plus, by the way. I have the...

    AFR 185's or 205's?

I'll be devil's advocate and say the 205s. Why are you building a 393 if you only want 500hp?

Does anyone run white letters out anymore?

I run them out. They're always dirty, but so is the car. Oh well.

Help me pick out an engine for my '65

Go with the 351W stroker like you originally planned. The only reason to stay with a 302 block is to save about 50 pounds. If you're more into corner carving like me then you'd do better with the 331/347. If you just want a hot street car that'll still handle well then go with the 351W stroker...

I thought 4.6s had good top ends...? not flaming.

How does this intake sound with my engine combo?

That's a big cam, you might even consider a single plane if you have a 3.80 or so rear end. But the stealth should be fine. I can't answer the other questions because I have a performer RPM. Check in to the weiand X-CELerator.

I Really Need Some Help PLEASE

I have bought 3 69 Dodge Chargers, a 67 Mustang Fastback w/a 390, and a 68 Mustang Convertible w/a 289 via Ebay. The 67 FB and one of the chargers were NOT what they were represented to be. The others were. Luck of the draw.

    My first stang... 64' Stang..

Okay, first off, congrats on your first stang. Second, a 350 is a chevy, and nobody here will ever talk to you again if you put one in your car. And third, are you sure you want a "big" engine? Big does not mean powerful. I'm gonna start a fire here by saying this, but small blocks are...

I Really Need Some Help PLEASE

I am jaded because I paid 4k for mine with good paint, a good engine (302), and a good tranny. But even so, 6k is pretty high to me for a car that's not even painted. I've seen 69 Mach 1s with okay paint go for 8-9k.
