    Non-roller 302 (HO) or 289 right? If so the firing order is correct. Remember the distributor spins counter clockwise. To check TDC watch the intake valve open and close on the number 1 cylinder, then the damper should be very close to "0". If not, move it forward or backward to zero...

    Yes there is some neglect...don’t report me to the Mustang authorities. The car is under a carport and under a cover, so no water gets to it except on our foggy days. I have to kick the '66 out of the garage before the '67 gets the prime spot. I will start working on her more this summer...

    Fiberglass to metal with filler to smooth. A little rough on the backside, but its held on since the 80's. I like how the rear flares look (hard to see in the pic), but those fronts...a little too much "bubble effect" for me.

    I hate when cars start pulling this crap! :shrug: That's why I try to give my three equal attention. So far just minor temper tantrums, but one day they will figure out I have a favorite. Our cars always give up unexpected problems, but after it's all said and done...we still enjoy them...

    If your clutch linkage is going out-of-wack from torque...it's time to 1) start checking motor and tranny mounts, 2) running a bolt through your motor mounts, 3) limiting strap or chain (like you did) 3) maybe even solid mounts. Your old clutch linkage may have been worn making things worse...

    Aluminum Overflow Tank

    What's the extra tube for on the bottom of the overflow tank? I know one goes to the neck of the radiator near the cap, but the other??? :shrug:

    Trade: Holley Pro Series 650 HP for Mighty Demon 750

    Extended the bolt with help from a welder and 1/4 stock. I'm still want to try a Mighty Demon since I've run Holleys on all my cars. Thanks anyhow.

    i keep bending clutch rods

    My quick fix back in the 80's: I went with a bigger rod (a hardened fine thread bolt) and cut and grind to fit. Solved my problem.
