    being a 55year old man i would leave the mufflers alone.but i would by the c&l aircleaner with a ex2 tuner, put in 3.73 gears and he will love it .call doug at bamachips and he will fix you up.i also deleted the motion plates or what ever they are called but thats something that seems to help at...

    blower and under drive pully

    if you leave your under drive pullies on when installing a blower how much boost would you lose?couldnt you change the blower pully to make up the differance in what you would lose?

    does the same for the 06 as your 98.i put ford 3.73 in my 06 automatic and made a huge differance.turns about 2100 rpm at 60 in overdrive.do it,you will be glad you did.

    ive downloaded the programs,updates and drivers.im not sure if the drivers are installed but havent figured out why.i dont ever get to the part with the green bar where the tuner is supposed to link to the computer.

    New Flowmasters sound nice!

    i just put the flowmasters on my automatic and they drone around 1600 to 2000 rpm.i have 3.73 gears and yes after you get above 2000 they are fine.only in town driving they drone bad .but its liveable.but for me its not so im putting the stock mufflers back on.

    the article i read said the hose clamps are too heavy although its hard to believe.but since doing it his way worked i would do it his way.the fifth bolt hole ended up as my sweet spot.

    thats about where my vibration was until i did the rotating and washer.forget the original weights and holes,just rotate it like i did and see what it does.like bigcat said its just like adding more weight to the drive shaft.and my drive shaft has the welded on weight also.didnt see any holes.

    thats what it seems do.when you pull the bolt out of the first of 6 differant holes you just put the washer on the bolt and re install.see if any thing changes,take the bolt and washer out.put the bolt minus washer back in the hole and go to the next bolt and do the same.when i found the one...

    here is the story.4.10 richmond gears,bad whine and vibration.3.73 ford gears,no whine same vibration.didnt have the vibration until the gear swaps.so,rotated the drive shaft in all five positions plus original,no better than it was in the original factory spot.took the bolts out one at a time...

    mine also does it and it sounds like its coming from thr rear .im going to check the spare and see if its bolted down tight.

    Motive performance Plus 3.90

    if its vibrating at about 55 to 70 try rotating the drive shaft. worked for me.
