    Dynoed Today

I got my car dynoed today. It was on a Mustang Dyno so I was expecting lower numbers than what you see printed in the mags and discussed. Plus I didn't get much time for cool down as it was dyno day and they were doing 2 pulls per car every 30 min. I showed up early to let my car cool down, but...

    Steeda's Adaptive Tune

I didn't look on their website, I actually recieved an email about it a week ago. There is also a link to the press release on stangnet's home page. But I'll put one below as well. http://www.stangnet.com/Ford-Mustang-News/Steeda-Releases-Adaptive-System-for-Ford-Mustang-080306.html

    Steeda's Adaptive Tune

If I read correctly Steeda's new adaptive tune is available only for 2007 and up mustangs. I assume something has changed in the computer between the 05-06 and newer models to make this possible? I know cars are constantly updated, but what has changed? Is there a possibility that the adaptive...

Shelby GT500 Twin 65mm tb kit

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords put out a video (with one of their magazines) called the Beast in which they did a build up on a 06 Mustang GT. They saw an increase of 8rwhp peak on the dyno and gains across the board with a BBK TB. The only other mods were a tune and CAI. I would guess the 65mm...

having a flash tuning problem. Help??

You listed a bunch of parts there. You say you got some, but did you install anything except the tune? If not that might be your problem. The tune should be set up to work with the other parts, and it probably won't work right without them. Try reinstalling the stock tune to see if that resolves...

    Stock Brakes and Tracking

Oops, I just noticed your signature. Looks like your car has a good deal of power. That can definitely get you into trouble because of the increased speeds. I'm not sure pads alone will do much for fade, but you could look at some cooling vents. They are far cheaper than big brakes and they...

    Stock Brakes and Tracking

I did a racing school last year with the stock brakes. Our driving sessions were 10 laps on a 1.7mile course and noticed a lot of fade towards the end of each session. I definitely had to back off the last couple of laps. The course was a mixture of fast sweeping turns and tight twisty sections...

    Shell Gas

It's the same in west Texas. Most of the gas stations here have 86 88 90. A few of the chevron stations sell 91. It sucks. Our max octane ratings have been dropping over the last few years. Several years ago I could buy 93, but no more.

Cool thanks for the info and pic.

    WATT's Link

From the thread you had a link to is sounds like you changed the rear springs but not the front. Is that correct? How is the ride height? I was kind of thinking about doing that. I don't want to lower the front as I already have occasional scraping problems on the awesome streets here, but I...

    WATT's Link

I checked out the instructions on Lakewood's website and unless I missed it they say nothing about rerouting the exhaust. From the pictures in the manual the exhaust looks stock. I'm pretty sure it is just a bolt in installation. On the other hand the Saleen kit requires a special rear end...

    SCT and Data Logging

So the warranty is up. I decided to start the "non-dealer friendly" mods and ordered an SCT Xcal from Brenspeed. I'll admit I don't know much about them as I've never used one or known anyone that has one. So I've been doing some reading about them. I see that they offer a data logging function...

A watt's link is one of my future upgrades as well. I be interested in hearing from someone with one as well.

    No Tune CAI's

Yeah, I was stock. The K&N was the first mod I made.

    No Tune CAI's

It's difficult to argue the seat of the pants dyno because there is no evidence to back it up. For instance, My buddy and I both felt a difference with the K&N but you and gashog didn't. So we are back to square one. Except that there is dyno evidence, unless the magazine and K&N are lying, that...

    BBK 62mm Throttle Body Help

I'm not sure. I haven't dynoed it yet. I know from other dyno runs on other cars it makes about 8hp. But to tell you the truth I'm not sure if the "old seat of the pants dyno" feels anything.

    BBK 62mm Throttle Body Help

Thanks for replying. I actually fixed the problem. I'm embarrassed to say that the culprit was my multimeter. Though I checked the batteries in it and it was reading my car's battery voltage correctly. It was way off on low voltage readings. My friend let me borrow his multimeter the other night...

    window problems

I actually had that problem for a few days (sometime last year). Then it just went away. I assumed it to be some weird electrical gremlin? But it hasn't ever come back. By the way I'm in Lubbock to. Howdy!
