I got my car dynoed today. It was on a Mustang Dyno so I was expecting lower numbers than what you see printed in the mags and discussed. Plus I didn't get much time for cool down as it was dyno day and they were doing 2 pulls per car every 30 min. I showed up early to let my car cool down, but the car that was supposed to go before me didn't show up and they put me right in. Anyway, I ended up with:
281 hp at ~ 6000 rpm
287 lb/ft at ~ 4300 rpm
That's with the following: 87 octane Brenspeed Tune
K&N FIPK
62mm BBK TB
Pypes X-Pipe, Stock Cats, Pipes Mid Pipes
Hooker Axle Back Exhaust
I was pretty disapointed until a few other cars ran and I saw the numbers they put up. A S197 Shelby Mustang GT w/ manual tranny made 251 hp and 263 lb/ft. I expected my car to be similar or slightly higher that this car but I was really happy at how much better mine did.
Some other numbers:
The guy running the show has an 01' GT auto and he said his ran 205 hp.
A C5 Z06 Vette ran 358hp
My buddy's 73 Mustang w/ a 351W made 315lb/ft and 260hp.
