    MGW storage

When its on your car is it going to be wraped in the plastic bag? If it's made from quality materials nothing should happen to it form sitting out of its bag.

    Car Overhaul

I was thinking the same thing about the header being too close to the brake booster. I'll heat up the pipe and bend it down and closer to the head. Where did you buy your welder from? My dad said he'd help me buy one, so I just need to decide if I want the Lincoln or Miller.

    Car Overhaul

little progress I've done so far. Drivers side header is complete, just have to weld on the v-band flange when I get it, and I can't do anything else until I get them. They should be here soon though. I also have an accufab 75mm TB on its way here along with the URP delete plate. All the...

    Quick Polishing Help

Justin, the first grinder will work, thats what I used to take off the Edelbrock on my intake, but as you can see it's very hard to use and I got a wavy finish left over. If it's not that big of a piece you're trying to take off I would suggest you use one of thoes brown roloc disks if you...

    Oil Pan Gasket change question

Don't bother trying to take off the oil pan, trust me on this one! To get my off, I pratically had to lift the engine up as high as it fould go, unbolt the oil pump, slide that out somehow, then the oil pan just barely came out and that was with using moderate force. What I would do if you...

    Quick Polishing Help

I know you can get a starter package form discount autoparts but its like $6 and you get 2 brown 1 blue :notnice: There is a shop supply guy that stops by my work that sells them, so I had him order me 25 ($.90 a piece) but you can get them cheaper I later found out. When I get them I can...

    Quick Polishing Help

me too :flag: I use the angle diegrinder to rough things up. I just recently found out that the blue sanding disks do a really really really good job for sanding aluminum. For my MC I just hit it with the blue sanding disk, then hit it with compounds and it came out virtually scratch free...

    Quick Polishing Help

Are you thinking of one of these? This is an angle grinder. Its the only thing I can think of that spins the wheel how you describe, unless you're thinking about an angle diegrinder This is what I use... A diegrinder. Setup the exact same way as a drill, except it uses air. The wheel...

    Quick Polishing Help

How is a diegrinder different from a drill or the buffing motor? If you use a back and forth method for the tripoli you'll be rubbing it in with your fingers... I'm confused at what you're trying to say there. All of the polishing I have done is by the diegrinder and or benchgrinder which...

    Quick Polishing Help

good luck with the cordless, I'd at least use one that plugs into the wall. We have one that plugs into the wall but its only rated at 1200rpm and I couldnt get a shine out of anything, not to mention it was hard to hold small things. Post some pictures when you get it finished!

    Quick Polishing Help

When using a drill, it should be rated at 2500rpm from what everyone else has told me... I use a diegrinder or bench grinder to do my polishing.... Use the tripoli until the scratches are gone, probably only need 1 pass over the whole thing, then use the WR until its shiny. I only did 1 pass...

    Accufab TB Question

Stock heads, cam, eddy intake, MP T70 turbo. If a 75mm is good on a mild setup, the 85mm should be good on a boosted setup. Plus I don't have enough money to buy 2 TB's :D

    Accufab TB Question

I'll be going 12psi turbocharged, later it'll be on at least a 347. I think the 85mm would be a nice size for what I have planned.

    Accufab TB Question

I don't need an 85mm or were you refering to the 105mm one? I might as well get a 65mm tb and be done with it. Thats what Grn has been recomending over on the 94/95 forums :p
