    Can someone explain this?

    I have always been curious to know why the 93cobra is only rated 10hp over the regular 5.0. I thought with Gt40 cyclinder heads, 24lb injectors, and the cobra intake it would be putting out more than just 10hp.

    I always thought the cobra intake was only worth it if you ported the thing. which is $$$. I've seen dyno results from swapping a stock intake with the cobra and needless to say there wasnt to much improvement. I have an old cobra intake if anyone is looking for it.

    well guys in general its not worth buying the cobra intake for the price and performance return. any other intake like the trickflow, gt40, and ssi are woth the price for performace return over the cobra intake. I'm getting the trickflow intake (because i have trickflow heads)

    should i but the headers through dss? I forget what they offer to you that you wouldent find just buying the heads normally.

    yeh the undercarraige doesnt look pretty. Any part vulnerable to rust ended up getting it. The headers and h-pipe got it the worst. The differntial looks awful to, but any type of performance isnt affected. I was lucky enough to have stock headers and an h-pipe from a 93 cobra i had lying around...

    My grandfather just passed me down his 5.0. Its a bone stock red 90 Gt with only 25k on it! I was driving it back from upstate NY to philly where i could store it and as i was driving home i noticed a sudden exhaust leak. The car seemed a lot louder and i figured one of the mufflers went bad...

    a naturally aspirated 5.0 motor wont get you there. Maybe close with a good 306 kit (heads,cam, pistons) and 4.10 gears. just do full exhaust and full bolt ons with a 306 setup and you should get 11's

    Im looking between the 500-600 rwhp range. i do want to keep it streetable but this is in no way my daily driver. More like a car ill just take out a few times a week to impress some friends and still be able to drive it 45min to a track.

    Just recently purchased the DSS 331 pro bullet. Im looking at a set of heads now. probably thinking Trick Flow along with the Trick Flow Intake. I also have a vortech v-1,strim with it 10-14psi. 42lb injectors, 75mm bbk throttle body. thoughts?

    Cobra parts questions

    I upped my car to bigger injectors without changing the sensor thinking it would be ok. i was dead wrong and the injectors were dumping fuel like crazy

    Get me to 300 rwhp

    Cobra intakes arent that great unless you get them ported which is a great deal of$$$. Get the gt40 intake to match the heads. i also had 24lb injectors with a 75mm throttle body which helped.

    X-pipes give you an extra 2-3hp at higher RPMS over H-pipes
