67 FB, where to mount "E" brake brkts?

Mike, the pivot on mine is 3 1/2" from the left frame rail and 3 " aft of the tranny hump frame. To clarify, these measurements and the ones I previously posted are not to the actual frame, but to the frame flange that the floor pan rests on.

67 FB, where to mount "E" brake brkts?

2 1/4" from the right inner frame rail and 2 3/4" aft of the tranny hump (passenger side floor pan). Do you need the measurement where the pivot is too?

    '67 Reassembly Questions

Ron 67FB, thanks for the wiring site. This will come in handy. I called my neighbor to remind him that I need my tranny back soon. He's only had it and the rebuild kit for a year and a half!

    '67 Reassembly Questions

Neutral Safety/Reverse...I think you're right. I looked through my boxes of parts and didn't find any more harnesses. My tranny is at the neighbor's that's going to rebuild it so I don't have it to look at. I do remember wires hanging off it so that's probably it. As for the motor...

    '67 Reassembly Questions

Thanks for getting back to me. Windshield wiper motor...I don't have any other harnesses that fit that plug. I'll have to look again in my parts boxes...maybe I overlooked it. The alternator has the three-wire plug that I think plugs into the main harness and two wires bugged into a...

    '67 Reassembly Questions

I'm making good progress but after being apart for 12 years I have some questions: How far down from the top of the fender apron should the starter relay be? The replacement panel I welded in didn't have the holes pre-drilled. What is the sqare, 4-wire plug coming out of the top of the...

    '67 Fastback Reassembly

You're right...partially. Silver Frost was an RPO color in '66 and the VERY EARLY part of the '67 model year. By the time my car was built on 30 Dec 66, it was a special order color. There were problems with oxidation and as your research proves, it wasn't a very popular color so it was...

    '67 Fastback Reassembly

I have my car back from paint and have been reassembling. I'll attempt to attach a few pics. Hopefully they'll make it. I'm not that tech-savvy. Color is Silver Frost; it was a Special Order car (paint color). Came with Exterior Decour Group, foldown rear seat, PS 289C, C4, console. I...

    Faulty Window Regulator?

On a related note, what type of grease is best for the rollers and tracks? White lithium? I need to clean and lube mine while I still have the inner door panels off.

    Re installing axels- Problem

Turn it a little while installing it. I've never had problems getting them in. Are the splines buggered up at the end? You may have to dress them with a small file.

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

I looked at your Car Domain site...nice job on the car! What a transformation! What's the estimated time for completion? I'm hoping for late Fall (optimistic but maybe not realistic) for mine.

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

Today I cleaned up and reinstalled the trim around the roof rail. Didn't install the weatherstripping yet. Yesterday I did the trunk, hood/cowl seal, and left door weatherstrip. I'll be glad when this phase is over! Thanks for the clarification on the vent window. My lower (outer pieces)...

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

First, to clarify, my original question was whether or not to use sealed in the inside rubber (triangle). I didn't and didn't even think about it until after it was in. As for how did I do it... First I pulled the old one out...it was in pretty bad shape so it didn't take a lot of effort. I...

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

C'mon guys...I don't want to do the other side yet before I'm sure whether or not I should use an adhesive in the channel before installing the seal. It may be difficult to get the one out that I already installed without adhesive without ruining it. Anybody that has experience in replacing...

    Vent Window Weatherstripping

I've searched/read the archives before posting...I just changed out one side of my '67. It is different from the '65-'66 in that on piece surrounds all 3 sides of the glass. Question: should I have used a sealer in the channel before installing the new seal? Also, the job was much easier...

    How to strip it

I stripped my car with chemical stripper. It was pretty easy and not that much of a mess. Just let the peelings dry on the floor, then sweep them up. I used a sandblaster for only a few minutes on the interior floorpans before I decided it was too messy and I spent more time reloading the...

    Rear Differential Washers

OK, thanks. I did put some Permatex #2 around the studs before I nutted it all down. I still may get the correct washers and do one at a time just to be sure I get no leaks.
