    Hmm.......I coulda sworn the 428's....all of 'em..... came with LeMans rods. But thanks for the refresher on the internals. My mind sorta goes out of it when it enters the modular V8 world. Of which it has been there for quite some time.:D :flag:

    it was 4.30 rear gears, not 4.36. Who said anything about a four speed? Not me. And yes, Q-codes were SCJ. I forgot what the internal thing that was done that made them SCJ. and while the oil cooler was on drag paks too., but notice i never mentioned drag pak either.

    That's pretty darn cheap for a Q-code, especially considering that's the super-cobrajet with oil-cooler. eBay usually lists cars like that around 15k. So, ya, i'd say your being cut a fairly good deal.

    If they are getting an entire assembly, just buy a Moser 9-inch that will bolt in the 2005 up Mustang using all factory mounting locations. All of them. the entire assmbly including pumpkin and locker will only run you $1500, same as a new 8.8" rear.

    I had them on with regular headlamps. I tried to pass them off as driving lights, but no sense in arguing with a cop.

    I did last night and just got a warning. I think the cop was just trying to get his quota in. But what gets me is that I've had the car for 9 months and have not had one single complaint. Plus it's just habit when I drive at night. Fogs always go on for me.

    Go for a 15 inch magnum 500 with standard factory size in front, but a 15x10.5/11 in the rear with M/T Street radials.

    MAC longtube question....

    Anybody have these or anything bad or any drawbacks for these headers for the '05 up GT? And does anybody know where to find some cheaper, quality name brand longtubes besides ebay?
