The cam install on the 4.6 is really not that hard.It is intimidating but once you do it you will wonder why you haven't done it sooner. Just mark the timing chain then line up the marks.
i've got the b&m shifter and when i put it in the instructions said they were phasing out the use of shift stops becuase they were really not nececary. I have a t45 and not had any problems with it in over a year.
Just curious the what the easiest way to intall long tubes on a 4.6. I got my engine down to the block and I am thinking that i still need to drop the k-member. Suggestions please anybody!!!!!!!!!
thanks
Idle air control....can make it surge die out or sometimes not even start. Seemingly for no reason......just tap on it and it will free up the valve inside. Or replace it. But I could be wrong as far as that being the problem.........just a suggestion.
i know mph flows 550 235 202 .600 237 207 and powerheads flow 228 intake and 208 exhaust. anyone know how much power difference there would be.
mph costs 1800 for bare heads. I can get powerheads for 1800 fully assembled with cams ferrera ss valves, valve job, and 7000 rpm springs.
any input...
when i installed mine with 4.10 gear I didn't worry about the tire size. I just compensated for the gear and my speedo is pretty accurate no mor than 3-5mph off.and i have 265\40\18 on the rear.
I need 24# injectors for my 00 gt. Are they the same injectors that would be used on a 5.0 or are they a different type injector. I don't want to get the wrong ones. Any input wil help.. thanks
Oh yea and power heads uses ferrera ss valves and a 7000 rpm spring package. Cams SOHC = .540’’X .540’’X [email protected]’’x 114 lsaRumpy idle, pulls hard from 2500-6500. Perfect for
strong N/A motor, xlnt turbo—blower camshaft
I have talked to powerheads and they said they flow 228 and 208 and for the price fully assembled with cams for 2100 without core and 1750 with core. ????????????????? and they are not nececarilly all using the same type of flowbench either.
