    Door skin removal, 1994-1998

That could well be. I did see that the door skin is also sold through 50resto, so I was hoping perhaps that was an indication that mere mortals could replace it. Which of course is why I am asking around here before I attempt anything too stupid ... :D

    Door skin removal, 1994-1998

I've found plenty of instructions on removing the door panel - but I want to remove the door skin. Is it not possible to remove the door skin without taking off the panel and disassembling the whole works inside the door? I guess I could see taking off the panel and working on the dent from...

    Door skin removal, 1994-1998

I have a dent in my driver's door that I would like to take care of. I already tried the "ding king" from the local auto parts store, and that didn't accomplish anything other than leaving black glue on my door. Has anyone removed the door skins from the SN95 coupe? I would like to pull it...

    stupid question - miata rims?

Any time I see an early miata sitting somewhere, with its RWD setup and its little 4-lug wheels, I can't help but wonder, would they fit our Mustang IIs? I don't know the measurements for those rims. Does anyone have the numbers? I figure it would be generous to call this a long shot, but I...

Which stangs can we swap rims with?

Hmm, that's not an idea you should have planted in my head. My wife drives an 03 Jetta. Or do you mean the newest Jettas, after they changed some stuff up around 04-1/2?

Which stangs can we swap rims with?

Which years have the same offset and bolt pattern as the 94-95 mustang GT? I just found a guy on craigslist in my area selling "99-04 mustang stock rims", 17inch bullitt style with tires. I'd like to put them on my 95 GT but I want to double check that they'll work. I expect the answer is...

Looking for a 77 Cobra by VIN

Indeed, Florida was where I last knew of it to be. But I expected it would be somewhere else since then. I was surprised to see Florida listing the title as "active", and the date is a bit of a surprise (July 2001). I guess I can release what I know about this car now, since the odds are...

Looking for a 77 Cobra by VIN

I can also say I know where it was when it was owned by the person who had that compuserve email address. I had emailed and talked to that person, about 7 years ago. From what I knew of that person, I have a region of the country that I suspect this car may be located in, but it is rarely...

Looking for a 77 Cobra by VIN

I already tried that email address, it is no longer valid, according to CompuServe (the owner of the .cs domain). And I suspect that I know the identity of the person behind that address, who I suspect is not the current owner of this car. Assuming of course that this car even still exists...

Looking for a 77 Cobra by VIN

Hello Does anyone here own a 1977 Cobra II matching the VIN 7F03F164707 I was digging through some old files, and encountered something that someone had left me about this car. If anyone has a 1977 Cobra that matches this VIN, please contact me. I am not looking to buy this car, if...

    electrical problems (no start)

Enough is enough I'm tired of electrical problems. I've spent more time dealing with electrical nonsense with this car than I have spent putting gas into it. It's time to wrap this car in a giant SEP field. First $3000 in the Syracuse area gets it - any takers?

    electrical problems (no start)

I forgot to mention that the previous evening (Wednesday), when I went to start my car, I got one click on the first turn of the key, followed by a successful start on the second turn. Not sure if this is indicative of anything in particular, but I thought I'd mention it.

    electrical problems (no start)

I'll start by saying the electrical system in my 95 GT has caused more problems than any ex-girlfriend ever could have hoped to. That said, this evening my car refused to start. I got in, and the best I could get was a single click. However, the battery was very clearly not dead. Lights...

    Fix for driver's side seatbelt?

It seems like the belt usually binds in that bracket, at lest in my case. I wonder if more recent stangs have solved this problem with a different bracket? I haven't been in a newer stang in some time, so I don't know how they compare in terms of seatbelt routing. I also see that the...

    Fix for driver's side seatbelt?

I suspect I'm not the only person whose driver's seatbelt tangles up on a weekly basis. From what I've seen, it usually seems that the belt gets turned and snagged in the rectangular bracket that anchors to the ceiling. Has anyone found a way to keep this from getting snagged up there?

    Looking for an unusual part

Mine just came yesterday afternoon, I'll try putting them in tonight. They sent the fasteners for them as well. It looks like I can probably just break off the fasteners that are in there and get the lenses out that way. Is there a better way to do this?

    Distributor failure nosie?

I stand corrected, the noise is actually more of a whine than a click or a rattle. I still need to get someone to stand next to the car for me while I rev it to see if it changes frequency with engine speed.

    Distributor failure nosie?

When I start my car, I hear a fast, rattling noise for the first couple minutes while the car is running. If I open the hood, the noise seems to be coming from around the distributor cap. It always goes away after driving for a while. The noise leaves me wondering if perhaps the...

    Non-starting problem

This doesn't make much sense, but... I managed to get my car to start. Finally, I just re-tightened the connectors to the battery, and for some reason now its happy. How the connectors could have just simply loosened on their own is beyond me, and they really were still quite snug when I...

    Non-starting problem

The AAA guy was able to jump it with their portable jumper device. Otherwise, the best we could get was 1 click, and then nothing. We couldn't even repeat the one click with a subsequent attempt. The lights are an interesting anomaly of their own right now. One thing I've noticed is that if...
