    306 Questions....Benefits?

It really depends on the skirt design of the piston. If the piston pin bore does not intersect the ring groove, you should have no oil leaks, provided evrything else is in order. My Mahle pistons are engineered this way, many aftermarket pistons included in stroker kits do not.

TweecerRT and 347 NA:ATTN Grady and Rootus!

What are the advantages of the retrofit anyhow? Why change from the J4J1 to the A9L? It seems like its a step backwards.

New K, A arms, coilovers, CC plates

I just bought a UPR K member front end kit with their A arms, and coilover kit, it arrived yesterday. We got ready to put the engine in and I just could not stand the nasty looking factory K and A arms, and I never half ass things, so I shelled out the cash for this setup. Pics later, I'm going...

    Learning how to drive stick

I learned how to drive a manual on a 1985 Honda Accord. Oh, yeah. It was parked at a lot where I was a valet when I was 16, and I taught myself while the guy and his date ate dinner. I fried his clutch. :D Ahhhhh! The summer of '91. :flag: :nice:

    chlorine tablet and tranny fluid

Everyone who tries this must post pics of the resulting mayhem. I made napalm in my parents garage once and almost burned down the damn thing. :owned: All it takes is a bunch of styrofoam packing peanuts and a little gasoline. BE CAREFUL!!! The stuff is sticky and nearly impossible to extinguish.

TweecerRT and 347 NA:ATTN Grady and Rootus!

Grady, I have been busting my ass at work and have not had the time to get the motor dropped in yet. It will be happening in the next two weeks. Anyhow, I forgot to mention my car has the ProM A9L conversion with the fan controller. I'm pretty sure I can use any bin file as a starting point...

    1/4 window stickers

It seems alot like the alarms that talk. I had a friend with the talking Viper and people would mess with it just for kicks. He finally took it off because it drew too much attention. I would just park far away from others when possible, and be careful. Its the best you can do in todays society...

tires that smoke red....check out the vid

I remember seeing them a few years ago and I wondered how long the colored strip would last. It was too trendy for me, I'd hate to have out of style tires on my car. I'll stick with black walls/tread and white smoke. :nice:

    New Weapon coming soon

If that is true our military dominance will be complete. MUUHAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, it does sound pretty awesome. I watched a TLC or Discovery special on a weapons system that fires using electronic pulses. It was capable of 30,000 rounds per minute, but still used propellants to move the...

    Header Wrap

You hear alot of different things about header wrap. We have used it on a modified circle track car for years and have never had any problems. The wrap will make a big difference in the amount of heat disspated into the engine bay, the exhaust will stay hotter further into the system, but...

Windage tray, should I use one or not?

I asked the guru at my machine shop about it and he said basically the same as above. If you are not reaching in the 7k rpm range it really is negligible. I have a Canton pan which is baffled and that prevents the oil from climbing the sides of the pan from suction under high rpm. A windage tray...
