OZ back from San Diego....complete with ticket.

I'd fight it, I dunno about CA but here in Michigan there is a minumum speed limit on the highways, (55) so long as your over that and under 70 you can't get a ticket unless of course your speeding or doing something else wrong. But thats my .02.

    Ignition/carb question.

Well, my guess is gonna be carb tuning, is causing the doggieness. But How does it rev when it nuetral? Any doggieness/coughing? Popping? Have you verified spark at each cylinder? If you can verify spark at each cylinder it will be the carb needs adjusted.

    Good deal????

With the bore being .060 isn't a big deal until it comes time to rebuild again. As I don't think it can be bored again (correct me if im wrong) It could be resleeved however at that point you'd be better off finding a different block. But again it should be fine for a long time.

    Good deal????

lol "decided he'd rather smoke dope and act stupid" oh thats funny, I'd say it looks like a good deal assuming that it was put together right, I would assume it is because no one builds a engine to fail.

dont know whether to keep or sell the original eninge

I'd say depends on what your doing with rest the car. If your restomodding it all you may as well get rid of it as it will never be "original" again, however if you ever plan on restoreing back to orginal it would be a good thing to keep.

    Chevy 350 Help

maybe I should clarify myself. Yes the engine will be a 350 chev, however the outdrive is all volvo, an old volvo. I'd be more worried about it breaking than the 350 that will allways have parts available.

    Chevy 350 Help

Being a certified outboard tech and working on my fair share of inboards and inboard/outboards I would personally stay away from it. For the compression it could be several things my guess would be valves. You also said that it was a volvo, now volvo is still around making the volvo penta a good...

    power steering problems

I would really like to hear the remedy to this problem as my 68 does the same thing allthough nothing has been replaced in mine. I haven't really had a chance to look at it as of yet, but the list is getting smaller and its getting closer to the top.

    And yet another wheel thread

I found a a dealer who sell American racing for a resonable price. I am in particular looking at a set of 17x8 TT2's Now would a 4inch backspacing be better than the 4.75 for my 68. I do believe the 4.75 is what I want however Im just wondering about the other one. Any insight? Thanks Justin

I agree to do searches as all the subjects your talking about have been discussed several times. You will learn alot if you do all that your planning on. It sounds like a big project, good luck with it. You should document it as you go too that way you can look back and say look what i did.

Now I havn't driven my car since i've owned it as its been going through a restoration phase, however everytime I think about driving it I get geeked up and wanna drive. Every time I start the thing it puts a smile on my face from one ear to the other. Only a few more things to finish up on it...
