    The overflow saga continues...

I've thought about changing the t-stat out to a mr gasket one. I should tackle that this weekend and see where it gets me. Thanks for the suggestion. Nick

    03 crown vic e. fan

If thats the case then I might snag the fan. It was on an 03 crown vic New York city taxi (my grandfathers). So I'm sure it will pull some nice air. Nick

    The overflow saga continues...

I have almost the exact same problem. If I drive nicely the temp stays around 185, (autometer guage and 180 t-stat). Once I start to drive a bit "spirited" the temp will go upwards towards 200. Not that I beat on the car or anything, just a full 3/4 throttle passings or other cars. I have a...

    03 crown vic e. fan

I have access to a 2003 crown victoria electric cooling fan, it just needs a module which I can get at my cost for about 80 bucks. I was wondering if anyone has ever had experience with these fans and ow they do? Of course I would get the dcc controller also. Any ideas, please post em up...

    sn95 spindle in fox..

You can use the fox strut. I think it is also possible to swap to sn struts/springs but its not manditory. You will need the ball joint spacer or stack of washers. Nick

    yet ANOTHER terrible day....

Sorry to hear man, lucky you weren't driving. File a complaint about the fender and get a receipt from the body shop shwoing the fender is brand new. Then do the ball joints yourself, (easy job with the correct press) and sell the damn thing. BUY MY CAR!! Your car is haunted man, its a bad...

    swapped engine concerns...

The transmission will have lower torque ratings, along with different gear rations inside of it. Some people swap 4 cyl transmissions behind the 5.0's and they live for a bit. The rear end is a 7.5 inch ring gear, a bit weaker than the 8.8 and I am not sure if they had the trac lock limited...

Door handle pulls up but doesnt open (felt a pop)...what is the solution?

Disconnect the rod from the actuator so it will be like a manual lock car. That is what I had to do with my car, and I did the same thing with the key, it feels like you can snap it right off. Once you pull the rod off the actuator it will work fine for the time being, or forever, whichever...

    OT-Dexcool help needed

I never heard of that, thanks for the tip. :nice: Nick P.S. Like stated above, I would never have dexcool in any of my vehicles, being in this field for 5 years now, and seeing first hand on how the dexcool turns to a build up of grime and sludge and powder. All it does is eat away at...

    Mac

The mac cat-back systems sound really good. If you want killer sound I have heard that the MAC "flowpath" dumped kits sound amazing. I've been contemplating that as my next set-up. Its a toss up between that and the SPINTECH Pro streets-also very aggressive sounding exhaust. Do a search for...

Effective ways to clean bottom of oil pan/transmission and surrounding areas?

Good point, I forgot to add that "gunk" works great to. I use it on my 91 bronco about once a week since that "leaves its marks" just about everywhere. Nick

    Big Problem Here

Since you changed the oil and put 5 quarts in, make a new scribe mark on the dipstick where the 5 qts are at. The dipsticks sometimes tend to be a bit screwy in these cars. Maybe when you checked it the dipstick was hung up on the lip of the tube and couldn't get al the way down, and the car...

Effective ways to clean bottom of oil pan/transmission and surrounding areas?

You can use a couple cans or "brakekleen". That works great, works even better if you have an air compressor and a blowgun attachment for it. Nick
