    Advice please: Sad Day

    After 210,000 miles the bone stock 5.0 in my '87 bit the dust (cant even turn it over with a braker bar with all accessories and starter off). What do I do? This is my only daily driver car. My first inclination is to buy a ford crate motor and be done with it... I know, from reading here...

    WTF wipers died at 70 mph in the rain?

    Probably the WW motor. Just replace it. Easy job but there is a little clip that can be a pain to get back on right. The clip is under the cowl.

    Like the others above said... I would get new WP bolts and be very careful not to break them off. I think this is pretty common, happened to me also. Mine did not break at the threded part of the bolt but in the middle of the bolt... Where it goes through the timing cover. Be sure to use...

    I am installing the larger calipers (Lincoln M VIII, MC, lines, rotors...) on my 87. What Hawk brake pads do I need to order? Just the ones for a 87+ mustang? or pads specific for the 73mm calipers?? Thanks.

    How do i get the Timing Chain Cover off?

    Reminder Be sure to put anti sieze compound on the water pump bolts when putting it back together. It will make it much eaiser to get them out next time.

    Like he said above, sounds dumb... but make sure it is not sticking on the carpet or floor mats. Also happened to me last week (floor mat).

    Turnsignals not working now!

    Like they said above, replace the flasher. It is a different one than the hazzards. I just pulled out my gauges, when reinstalled turn signals did not work. I pulled back out and replaced both indicator bulbs, reinstalled then it worked. Did not make sense to me but it works now.

    water pump went out today, what happened?

    I had to replace mine (87/5.0) 3 times. The last time I broke a couple of bolts. The threads were not stuck in the block but the bolt was "gunked up"/stuck to the timing cover. I had to drill out the broke bolts (hard to do without messing up the timing cover, but possible). Then knock the...

    Sorry for the cross post but I just realized it would fit better here.. I have an 87 LX (5.0/5 sp) coupe and want to change my outside mirrors from the manual (joystick type) to power. What do I need besides the obvious (power mirrors and "controller")? Is this an easy swap?
