    89 GT for 1000

    Looks like it had rust problems and they tried to fix it......hopefully they did it right. Your best bet is to find one with little or no rust. You can buy a rust bucket cheap but then you'll be dumping money into something thats just rotting away, basically polishing a turd.

    4.10 gear question...

    Hmmmm, in the 1/4 i'm at like the point where i basically have to shift to 5th....It's either ride the gear out past the point where it's amking power or take the shift to 5th.....wish mine was at 4500.

    winter carz

    I'd get a bronco, they are cheap and fun in the summer too. I had a 78 and loved it. Gas sucked though. This year for winter I'm running a 87 2500 Suburban and a 89 BMW 525i. The stang gets tucked away for winter in the garage .

    Yeah you will have to run the plexiglass windows and not be able to put them down. Atleast thats how my buddies setup was. It sounded cool at the time but after the fact the setup got old quick.

    Nice, i'm sure it's a big improvement. Did you make brackets or did they bolt in. I put a set of APC seats in mine and i had to fab new brackets....it was a pain.

    Lets compare the New 2005-2008 Stangs to the Fox stangs...

    12.1 on an 86 with only an explorer upper and lower and maybe GT40p's.....that seems a bit faster than you would imagine.

    LX Body Kits

    I like it, but it's not as nice as the teal LX with the Saleen kit on the sticky "Nicest Foxes"...that car is badass.... LX's only look tough in my opinion with a tubbed rear and full drag suspension.

    Intake swap - time and difficulty?

    Took me like 5 hours with a buddies help (included swapping throttle body, plate, upper and lower intakes, Kirban FPR and gauge). Most of that was swapping the vacuum hookups from the old to new intake, I had to tap and die some connections. Then realizing that I forgot to hookup my MAP sensor...

    Quick Timing Harmonic Balancer Question

    Ok just answered my own question, just read that it was to the left....toward the ATDC. I think i had mine set BTDC. And to rotate it against the rotation of the engine to advance. Thanks

    I actually just called them. They said 13.49 is the standard. They also mentioned that if your in the 13's a 4 point would be ok, but they would like a 6 point. Anything faster than 13 defiantly requires it. I was wondering because i had times in the high 13's before there and no one said...

    Yeah your probably right. I think i'm just going to save up for some heads and the money to install my super charger. I know the GT40 P heads won't fit my current exhaust (BBK TL's). Does anyone know if the regular GT40 heads off a 93 cobra would fit? Thanks

    Did that guy drag that car. why does he have a battery disconnect switch in the taillights. It might be beat....But then why would you want to drag a t-top without a cage....guess we need to see more pics.

    Cobra or LX Lenses?

    LX's are the way to go. A much cleaner look. It's crazy how much they go for now. Considering they came on every mustang besides the GT. Minimum they go for is $100 used on ebay. And the lense new are around $149...just the lenses not the housings.
