Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

I changed the scaling on of the graph today and it makes the curves look much better. Looking at it now I dont think there is any problem with the current tune although getting a tune would help to optimize the power potential and drive ability.

Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

With out giving away too much since plans change, I am almost 100% certain it will be cleveland based and fuel injected.

Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

I agree that its probably in the tune, but since I'll be building a new engine shortly, I cant see spending the money to have it tuned. The curve really doesn't bother me at all, I'm used to driving mostly high rpm cars at work so it just feels like one of those. Beast, keep in mind the intake...

    Project "BlackOut" 89 convert.

Very nice ryan. I think you should use that 331 kit, and for the love of god leave the interior alone, it is too nice, just do some aftermarket gauges.

Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

Thanks guys. This car would probably be a dog if I didn't have a manual trans, based on that power curve.

Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

It either the tune or the intake is too big. The dyno A/F wouldn't work so I didn't get a reading. It is sort of a strange torque curve though. I'm just happy to have broken 300rwhp with this tired old engine before I start building the new engine I have planned.

Dynoed my pacecar again (with better results)

I haven't dynoed my car since 06 when I had those crappy procomp heads, and needless to say, trickflow heads are worlds better than cheap knock off crap. I work at a shop that is also a speed shop on the side for high end cars like BMWs, so we have an in ground dyno that I have free access to...

    To stagger or not????

Depends on how many miles you put on the car. If you put a lot of miles on the car yearly, say 10,000 or more than it would be nice to be able to rotate the tires. If its just a weekend cruiser that at best sees 5000 miles a year then you might as well put whatever wheel and tire combo you want...

just had my heads milled=no run

Measure the pushrod length and lifter preload. You cant just go by what other people say might work.

1988 GT Backfires after H-pipe install (no cats)

The first thing I would do is look for an exhaust leak. Air can get in causing unburnt fuel to ignite in the exhaust.

Insuring an ex four cylinder car.

Agreed, they dont care. My car was a 4 cylinder originally, it has been insured as a 4 cylinder since I put the v8 in it, I got rear ended in late 2005, and everything was fine. They didn't even look under the hood, all they did was write me a check.

New thoughts about the drive shaft vibration issue...please read

The dogbone cancels out drifeshaft harmonics. TCCoA Transmission Article - Page 17 My driveshaft had a bad vibration a couple years ago, so I put new U joints in it and I haven't had a problem since.

    Doing a 4 eyed conversion.

While I agree with your position on the whole matter, I dont agree with your attitude. Are you not the same guy who said hose clamps were safe to use to compress coil springs? And now you are basically calling out other people about their intelligence level.

Any harm in running a standard rotation WP?

LOL, after I learned how power steering racks work, and rebuilt a few, I decided that using a power rack as a manual rack is incredibly dangerous.

    GT40P high RPM cut out

I had an accel ICM and after about a year it started to crap out and cause the ignition to cut out. It was a big waste of money imo.
