    High oil pressure

I just finished changing my oil about 400 miles ago. I use Mobile 1 and Puralator synthetic media filter. While driving along the highway, I noticed my oil pressure guage was reading near max. Even at idle the pressure was running high. Everything else is normal. Any ideas????

    3V spark plug PICS

I recently spent some time on the road course at VIR. Upon my retun home, the car began to misfire. Eventually throwing codes. I pulled the factory plugs. (much easier to write about than actually do) The plugs were coated with a black powder, much worse than in the photos above. The amount...

    HOOD PINS NECESSARY??

I have the factory hood, and with all the hood shaking going on at 130MPH hood pins were a must. And they look cool. (sexy is not something my car does well)

    vinyl stripe removal

I've taken off a couple of sets.... wait for a really warm day so they peel off well. You can clay bar the surface of the car after that and all should be fine.

    Driving/Fog light mod

The Ford fog lamps are basically usless, even in fog. Unless your impressed with just the fact they are there and light up giving the car a unique look. With my set up I've increased my forward illumination by 100% hi/lo, and now have daytime running lights (not avail on 05), and kept the fog...

    Driving/Fog light mod

You should try converting the useless Ford fog lights to regular headlights! I did... and it was a PITA! The aftermarket H-4 bulb headlights I used in place of the fogs also have daytime running lamps and a built in 55watt fog bulb. A total of 4 lighting options per lamp. It required a...

    JMS Chips

I purchased my Xcal1 w/CAI from them waaay back when stuff for 05 Mustangs were hard to find. Their "canned" tunes worked great for my car. Their customer support was pretty good too. In fact, I'm running a slightly modified version of the 87 Economy tune they sent loaded into my Xcal2...

DTC 0507 After Granatelli 62mm TB Install

One more thing you might want to try is resetting the computers KAM. (Keep Alive Memory) The cars idle is stored in this area of the computer. Once this is cleared, the car must re-learn how and at what point to idle. I have had a few idle issues in the past, and each time I re-set the...

Error Code(P0506) - Idle Control System RPM Lower than Expect

I've had this problem in the past.... a couple of times. In my case, the butterfly valves in the TB were covered in an oily gunk. I cleaned them, then re-set the computer (battery disconnect for 5 minutes) so the car could re-learn the idle setpoint. I have since bypassed the driver side...

    oil cooler?

I "attempted" to install a remote oil filtration kit and cooler without success. There was just not enough clearance between the oil filter and sway bar. 90 degree swivel fittings might do it, but I did not try. If you make it work, post some pixs... I'd still like to do it.

    ? about 4.10 Gears

I have Motive gears and they whine. It has gotten better over the last 40k miles, and they whine due to a poor install. NEVER EVER cut corners and have a backyard mechanic install your gears! I installed new mufflers and now I can't hear the whine at all.:p

Who has bored out their 4.6

Gee I hope this has not been hashed out on this forum already..... I did do a quick search, but no specific info. I am considering building a new motor for my 05 GT. (more HP) Installing the typical P&P heads, cams, springs, headers, etc. It is the block and bottom end I'm having...

    3rd set of rear rotors

Excuse my poor spelling. A "way off" chance is that your master cylinder proportianal valve/piston has malfunctioned and is sending most of your fluid to the rear brakes? Anti-lock could also do this. I had a spring snap on one of my master cylinders which caused the front brakes to lock...

Gear ratio - Gas milage VS Performance

I REALLY enjoy my 4.10's. Milage runs around 20MPG. (300 miles per week) 23 if I keep my foot out of it, which is hard to do.:p I like running around 60MPH and feeling the car accelerate without needing to downshift. The gears keep the car near the power curve. I will probably go back...

    people living in N.C.

Just had mine inspected last month. The guy plugged into the OBD II connector to check for codes. He told me they no longer check the exhaust emissions. Whew! Then he took a quick look around and under the car. He did look for my cats, which are still in place. Apparently if you take...

    HELP... Rear Pad install

The Ford tool appears to fit over the entire surface of the piston and has a big handle, which would make pushing it much easier. I had to grind the universal brake piston tool to make it work.... but it is so small it is hard to turn and push at the same time. Guess I'll have to pump some iorn...

    HELP... Rear Pad install

I only tried one side of the car... no time to check the other side. Power braking? I do like to stop fast, and have had the car on the VIR road course a couple of times. The car has 48K miles on it. The original pads are mostly worn down and have cracks in the material. My car does have the...

    HELP... Rear Pad install

I attempted to install some Hawk HPS pads on the rear of my stang today before going to work in the afternoon...... and failed. I purchased a universal caliper piston rotating tool and went to work. Disassembly went fine, man my rear brake pads were baked! Anyhow, the caliper piston...

255/50's vs 275/40's on stock rims?

Well I installed the Ford Racing springs. It helped with the wheel well gap, but did not cure it. I do enjoy the ride, and will go with the 255/50 series tires in May. The added height will also add a little clearance. The springs also seem to have solved? my hood lift problem at speeds...
