    If you are moving to San Diego, you might want to reconsider the engine swap. I have heard that it is impossible/not legal to register a vehicle out here with a different engine than it was produced with from the factory.

    My car does the same thing sometimes. What I do is turn the engine off, slide the shifter into neutral, restart the car, and go. Freaked me out the first time it happened though. Hopefully this helps.

    Do you still have your quad-shocks on? Because if you have taken them off to install wide tires you may be experiencing rear wheel hop under hard braking. Mine does this occasionally.
