    Put a 2.3 into a 5.0 chassis?

As pointed out... I never said which Monday :jester: Fortunately, I was able to make other arrangements... Probably would have been easier to run Hydraulic clutch. Every damn Ranger in the local J/Y has hyd clutch. It took a couple weeks to find the right upper/lower clevis for this double...

    Put a 2.3 into a 5.0 chassis?

Mocked up the clutch cable setup. Aluminum quadrant under the dash, firewall adjuster, 5.0 adjustable cable, mated to the 2.3 clutch linkage…

    Put a 2.3 into a 5.0 chassis?

Been a while since I've updated... progress has been slow, but still plugging along... I was not able to sort out the wheel spacing issue with the aftermarket k-member/control arm/coil over, so the stock hardware went back on. Details here...

Those with homemade EGR delete come in here!

sickfox may have called it... Does your racing buddy run a carb? He may not have known a bout the SPOUT?

Those with homemade EGR delete come in here!

Well, using heat and ac is outside the scope of most racers, lol. Timing can seem to change if the balancer slips?

Those with homemade EGR delete come in here!

really, where did you get the connector/plug? That plugs into the harness, I place of the egr, correct? I know the plugs are available somewhere. A company used to sell them… but I never found the plug itself…

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

A couple more pics… The last one is final mock-up without brakes, but it’s pretty clear the wheel is properly positioned again. I guess it’s just tolerance stack up?

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

I’m at a loss. I pulled the TeamZ kmember, put in the stock kmember, 95 ctrl arms, and wheels are back to proper position… I used the factory kmember to locate some wood blocks, kind of as a jig. Nothing precise. Then dropped the TeamZ kmember into the jig. As can be seen in the pics, there...

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

LOL, nope... especially for a car I plan on driving daily (110+ miles), in stop and go traffic, on crappy Seattle streets/I-5. The adjustable units don't have poly bushings... I do appreciate the input though!

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

Regardless, the parts that I question the origin of, are all a black semi-gloss finish. I had them in 2007, but can't confirm who I purchased from. I have a suspicion, but don't want to spit out any names unless I can confirm... Didn't get it pulled apart last night, will get it done today...

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

Finally getting back to the thread. Yes, it is odd that everything fit just fine, then swapping the K-member and control arms moved the wheels The pics of my k-member seem to match pics I've found online of Team-Z k-members. I can't see where its different, if it is? Got a response from...

Team-Z Setup in 1990 Mustang GT

I'm getting frustrated, so this is my 'phone a friend'... The car is a 1990 GT, originally 5.0, with a t5. Around 2000, I converted to 5lug Cobra brakes, using (as best I can recall)... 95 Mustang spindle, 95 Mustang control arms, 13" rotors, dual piston Cobra caliper, and the rear end was...

Odd question - Door open chime really quiet?

Hahahaha, I’m borrowing my dads Ranger, and just did this last night…. Left the headlights on while meeting a friend for dinner. It’s the quiet buzzers fault! :rlaugh:

Best way to install a new rear end housing

Just like it says in the Chiltons... 1. Remove rear end 2. Installation is the reverse of removal If I recall, I used a jack to support the rear, removed the upper ctrl arms, let the rear end drop lower, then disconnected the lower ctrl arms. managing the weight of the rear is the trick...

    1989 2.3l Valve Cover

Well, why do you suspect the ecu? Did those both come up for the same application? same year, make, model, engine, trans, etc?

    1989 2.3l Valve Cover

Just start on the middle bolts, and work your way fwd/aft from there…. Circle around several times until tightening one doesn’t cause another bolt to loosen. Nice paint job!

    Put a 2.3 into a 5.0 chassis?

So, the interior is almost done. Had to replace the carpet. Since most of the old sound system came out, there were a ton of wires to pull. Replaced the 5.0 tach with a 2.3 tach. Broke a connector for the defogger switch. Once that replacement is here, the interior will be done. Cleaned...

    Put a 2.3 into a 5.0 chassis?

Thanks. I built my 8.8 back in the day. Auburn limited slip 31spline, disc brakes, and pretty sure 3.27 gears. I should try to confirm that though... From what I can tell, the cross-member didn't move the engine forward. If it did, it wasn't much. I was able to get the driveline in just...

I don't recall the full part number, but the one I have hooked up now, has 'b210b' in the model number.
