I will never be done with my car.

Still haven't got my suspension installed yet. I can't get the stupid front leaf spring bolts to come out. I don't have any money to buy a sawsall or die grinder with a cutoff wheel to cut the bolts out so it looks like it will have to wait until july when I have more time and money.

    leaf springs

well I tried unbolting the rear exhaust brackets and letting the exhaust drop down and using the c-clamp with a socket to push the bolt out. Once again no movement, although the exhaust dropped down enough to get the c-clamp on the muffler was still in the way enough that I can't get enough...

    leaf springs

I found a 8" c clamp at sears, it looks like if I unbolt my exhaust pipe and drop it down I'll have room to get the c-clamp on the bolt to try to push it out. Have to finish weed-eating the yard and get everything for dinner lined out for tonight then I can expierment with that.

    leaf springs

So I'm not the only one that's had this problem atleast. Quess I'll have to go and buy a sawzall then, and several blades. Just wish I had some cash and more time to work on the car though. I would try the torch method but none of my buddies with welders or torches are available right now.

    leaf springs

Can anyone tell me how in the h*** to get the damn front bolts to come out? The bolt spins with a wratchet on it I can get the nut off but can't get it to push back. I've tried beating on it all afternoon with a hammer and it doesn't budge, can't get a c-clamp to go on it to try to press it...

I will never be done with my car.

Well UPS finally dropped off my suspension kit last night at 8:30. Now I have to find some time and the energy to start putting this stuff together. And hopefully one step closer to being able to drive again, this poor pony's been in the stable for 16yrs now, it needs to go out and stretch it's...

    What to do with a 64 1/2 "D" code 4 speed car?

being a 4spd car already it'll be easier for you to swap to a t5 than if the car was a c4 auto, less parts to buy and not a much $ to swap

I will never be done with my car.

Very Very slow, my suspension kit hasn't got here yet, it was shipped ups ground and isn't showing to be delivered until munday:mad::notnice::shrug: Still have to pull the driveline and clean it up so it doesn't look so crappy next to my freshly painted rear end, new shocks/leafsprings when I...

    Fuel delivery problems, I think.

you could check to see if it's the gas by disconnecting the fuel line from the hardline inside the engine bay, use a piece of fuel hose connected to you clear fuel filter and drop into a gas can sitting outside the car, pour alittle gas into the carb to make sure it's primed and start it up and...

Changing My fuel LIne Please Help!!!!!!

If you haven't already, spray some wd-40 or some penetrating fluid around the bolts for the clamps holding the fuel line. Let them set for alittle while and it'll be alot easier to get them off. I'm in the process of changing my brake line running from the distro block to the rear axle and it's...

Met the girl of my dreams today

i agree there's no reason to sell your car right now. Unless it was a matter of you didn't have any money was down to 1 vehicle between you and heather and was about to be kicked out in the street. In the grand skeem of things the only thing it's costing you right now is insurance/registration...
