Can anyone tell me how in the h*** to get the damn front bolts to come out? The bolt spins with a wratchet on it I can get the nut off but can't get it to push back.
I've tried beating on it all afternoon with a hammer and it doesn't budge, can't get a c-clamp to go on it to try to press it out and I don't have a torch to cut it with! What can I do??

lol dont have the answer, but Ill be watching this thread since next weekend I'm doing the same thing. Orig springs on my car, cant wait. LOL!!

The front bushing has rusted to the bolt.

Tungsteen Steel Sawzal blades usually takes 2 per side and about 5 minutes to cut it out.

that was probably the hardest thing i've had to do to this day on my project. i finally had to aggressively use my sawzal but be very careful!

Or try the old method------cutting torch!

So I'm not the only one that's had this problem atleast. Quess I'll have to go and buy a sawzall then, and several blades. Just wish I had some cash and more time to work on the car though. I would try the torch method but none of my buddies with welders or torches are available right now.

Well, I got one side out. Came right out, impact gun and out slid the bolt. God I hope the other I'm that lucky with. Those nuts/bolts I swear I thought were going to break coming off, I thought for sure it was going to be a fight getting the bolt out.

I used a cut off disc in a die grinder. Its a lot cheaper than a saws all but you have to be careful not to cut a slit in your floor as there is not a lot of room. If you do yous a sawsall be sure you get blades for hard mat. The bolts are heat treated and a reg hack saw blade will not touch them

I didn't have much trouble with mine two years ago, but I read a site on the internet about this problem. Basically, that guy bought two long nuts and 1/2" all thread. He cut the all thread to the right length and used the two nuts on the all thread to push the bolt out.

I found a 8" c clamp at sears, it looks like if I unbolt my exhaust pipe and drop it down I'll have room to get the c-clamp on the bolt to try to push it out. Have to finish weed-eating the yard and get everything for dinner lined out for tonight then I can expierment with that.

well I tried unbolting the rear exhaust brackets and letting the exhaust drop down and using the c-clamp with a socket to push the bolt out. Once again no movement, although the exhaust dropped down enough to get the c-clamp on the muffler was still in the way enough that I can't get enough leverage on the c-clamp. I quess I'll have to wait until July when I'll have more time to work on it, and ha money to buy either a sawsall or cut off wheel and diegrinder to cut the bolts out with.
