New wheels = exhaust and center cap problem

Yeah, I like the wide tires on the back. The tail pipes are no longer an issue since I did take it to the exhaust shop. They took care of that problem.

New wheels = exhaust and center cap problem

I guess I'm not sure if they have the same offset. Here are a few pics: This picture shows you how much the front wheels stick out: The back tires are 285/40R17 and the fronts are 255/40R17

Help with electrical connections under the dash. Pics inside

I'm having a problem with my wipers so I was under the dash looking at some stuff (like I know what I'm looking at). I found a few things that aren't connected to anything and I found one green box. What are these? Green Box: Connector above the green box: Thanks for any help.

New wheels = exhaust and center cap problem

This could be the case. His story is that he sold his car right after he bought the wheels and didn't want to sell the wheels with the car. The only rubbing issues he had were the fenders rubbing the outside of the wheel. He had to roll the fenders and remove the quad shocks. I have neither...

New wheels = exhaust and center cap problem

If only that were an option. I bought them from a guy while I was in TN (I live in AL) and he had them on his 92. I never asked about backspacing b/c I assumed they would fit...that is, if they were on his Fox then they should fit on mine. Anyway, I got the exhaust taken care of at the shop...

    Windshield wipers won't stop.

I replaced the motor today because I didn't know what the heck I was looking at when I removed the covers (sorry jrichker). Unfortunately I didn't fix the problem. Now I'm thinking its the switch. Do I have to replace the whole stalk? My blinkers work but my wipers stay in slow no matter...

    Windshield wipers won't stop.

I tried to remove the Wiper motor today but I can't get it off. Is there any easy trick or something? I removed the 3 bolts holding the motor to the firewall. I thought I'd be able to pull it right out but I was wrong. Then I noticed it was attached (obviously) to the wiper but I can't get...

    Stang wont start

I've had this same problem for the entire life of my car. The solenoid would click and all the lights would go out. Since I don't have a tester (I need to buy one) I just started replacing things. I've replaced the solenoid 2 or 3 times this past 1 1/2 years. I've replaced the negative...

    Clutch Help For 91 Mustang

My car used to grind when going into Reverse and then I read that I should shift into 5th then into Reverse. Something about setting the syncros. Anyways, it worked so I'm happy:)

    5.0 Resto Carpet Kit Question

Carpet will help with the noise but why not add some sound deadening stuff while the carpet is out? I used Second Skin supplies and have been pleased with the results.

    Windshield wipers won't stop.

This is kinda what I'm thinking but is there a way to test it before I pay $100 for a new one? About the speed governor: I searched about this and it seems like the most common symptom is high speed only...and it seems like you still have "off" as an option. Would slow and always on be a...

    Windshield wipers won't stop.

I swear. I planned on selling the car and now everything is going south on her. I might have to keep it just to keep it running good. The other day I was driving in the rain. When the rain stopped I turned the wipers off only to watch them continue to run. I can't change the speed or...

    4 lug wheel spacers?

Do I hammer the studs out and install the new ones or is that something that a shop must do? I'm not too keen on the dying part...The good news is that if I die while wearing my seat belt then my wife gets a bonus on my life insurance policy. I saw the 4 lug spacers offered by MM and I...

    4 lug wheel spacers?

I can't find the hubcentric spacers for 4-lug. I've been reading about spacers and have seen some mentions of hardened studs but I'm wondering if that is even an option on the front tires. Aren't the studs built into the rotor?

    4 lug wheel spacers?

Wheel spacers are gay? That would be strange. I'm thinking about getting some for my front tires. I just bought new rims from a guy that said he had it on his 92 mustang. I didn't think to ask about Backspacing or anything like that b/c if he had them on his stuff then it should fit on...

Car on Jacks: Wheel movement on front tires

How do I check them? I'm know I'm not getting any grinding or noise from the tires. Is there anything else I need to look for?

Car on Jacks: Wheel movement on front tires

I was changing the tires/rims on my car and noticed the front passenger side tire can be moved right and left when I push on the sides. I've always heard if the tire can be moved in and out by pressing the top and bottom then it needs tie rods. I get no movement when pushing the top and bottom...

New wheels = exhaust and center cap problem

Yeah, wheel spacers aren't really an option for me b/c I don't like the idea of spacers on the rear tires. The hammer thing could work but then I lose all the power from my "mandrel bent pipes" They have been clamped in so I'll try to make some adjustments if I can. If I go to...
