    gt40p i thought central coast mutsang soldheaders that fit the p heads for thre 94-95 im pretty sure they do and i think mac does as well to now.

    I was just wondering all those that have done the p.i swap what cams are you using and what kinda hp numbers are you making? whats the best cams for stock p.i heads with good gains?

    heads i checked it out the 96-98gt heads were 49.77 cc,and the 96-98 cobra's were 47cc, but it would actually be best to just get the whole cobra motor with wiring and all,

    heads I looked up the 2v head versus the 4v the 2v p.i. had 42cc and the 4v heads were like 51 cc from 99 up so if you used 2v heads you would get a hike in compression not sure how much though.

    heads I would also check what the compression ratio would be im not sure the combustion chamber size of the 4v heads versus the 2v heads.

    power 4V heads flow alot better than 2v heads I read somehwhere stock they flow 260cfm and ported can flow over 300cfm,but if you build a 2v with like stage 3 p.i. heads they flow around 250cfm, and with the right parts you could build a nice motor.

    i know the 4.6 can be stroked to 5.4 but they are stroking 5.4's to 5.8's somewhere i wonder what one of those would do with stage 3 plus pi heads some aweosme cams, intake and all the goodies?

    hum Usually when you hear that noise tis a detonation problem which means your timing is off or your having a fuel problem.I know caud my grandpa his truck did the same thing and so we checked the timing and it was off and when it was reset it was fine, no more deisel sound.

    gt Id take one in all black but yeah they put out 12psi boost and only rated by ford at 500 hp so thats pretty cool seeing those numbers but then again i think they the mustang gt, mach1, and 03 cobra are underrated to.

    intake I read that to kinda dissapointing on the other hand though they said on a stock 4.6 it performed better I dont know how true that is. What about the reichard racing intake I know 5.0mustangs and superfords tried that on a 5.4 and it performed respectively.

    vt what would a 96-98 gt put out with these mods, stock p.i heads, vt stage 2 cams, stock p.i. intake, accufab plenum, accufab 75mm tbody, prom 87mm maf, k&n cai, 24lb injectors, 190lph pump, autologic chip, steeda pulleys,msd dis-4 ignition with msd coilpacks and wires, longtube headers...

    bassani You mean the bassani midlength headers? They take a totally differnat xpipe which bassani sells.

    heads there the same,the only ones that are differnat are the 4v

    accufab Go to accufab racing they already have data on the stock intake, the trickflow, the dreaon, the c@l and there own and they flowed the best then next was the dragon, but the accufab untake with the 75mm tbody flows 628cfm
