    i had a similiar situation and it came out to be the spark plug boot was touching the header. the header was creating a hole on the spark plug boot. i bought some boot cover wrap, covered the the hole with silicone, wrapped it and it cured the problem

    a ported eddy performer would work great on the street. i dont see why not:shrug:. i like the cobra/gt40 since they are at low cost. example, 1 of my friends has a ported upper/lower gt40 w/ AFRs and made over 306rwhp and a **** load of torque like 358 lbs

    with the gt40s, i dont think youll wont hit 300hp espescially with a stock. AFRs 165/185 are the way to go :D. an edlebrock will do the same but cheaper. a gt40 intake will do only if its ported upper/lower. with the cam, for our cars year model, steeda 18# will do the trick even though i heard...

    im preparing to buy a ported gt40(explorer) intake from a friend. his intake by far had a great torque band from the graph the last time he tuned it. i know i need gaskets and a bigger TB. what do i need to complete the swap? fuel pressure regulator, bigger injectors ? suggestions

    FIXED IT ! i replace the coil w/ a new 1 and did some adjustments. i dont know if its thatbut i dont know. actually i felt a little difference by bypassing the pump. thanks

    listen. get a set of 373 gears :drool:. those are good mods but w/o gears, youll feel like something is missing. remember, all these mods have to work together. also advance your timing.

    +1 cap/rotor. also make sure your spark plug boots are not touching the headers. that will cause the boot to melt and creates misfires like crazy.

    hmmm....are you running at a hot level ? when this occurs,what does it say on the gauge ? check your water/coolant level (when its cold) to see if you have anything in there. waterpump pulley spinning properly? when your running at a high level temp, coolant goes into the overflow and its too...

    belt snapped

    my tensioner seems to move a bit. im deciding either i should replace it or get 88.5 belt. the belt that i have on now (89) has a tiny bit of slack like it needs to be tighten down more. also, i hear a clicking noise from what it seems to be the tensioner reaching its stop. :shrug:

    :nice: problem fixed. i bypassed the smog with a 89" belt. no smoke coming from the pipes :D and the headgasket is fine. i looked at my temp and the fan kicks on normally. i put in some 50/75 water. now the thing is that i need a new tensioner soon.
