    Patch Material - need suggestions

I believe that a whole one piece floor is a tight fit but it will go in thru the side with all the windows either down or out. If its not that way then they go in through the windshield opening. You have to take the windshield out first though:D

    heat in a '88 2.3

I am 99% certain that the heater hoses are on the right way. I have actually been driving it off and on and it is making some decent heat. It just baffles me how my '84 SVO makes enough heat that I cant keep it on high for long and my '88 I have to run on high and barely keeps it comfortable...

    Inside of Tire Rubbing Struts

The one is my wife's '91 5.0 with stock pony wheels and stock size tires. The second is a '88 4cyl LX with 10 hole wheels and 225/65/15 IIRC. But before that the tires where 235/60/15. the last is a '84 SVO that until a few weeks ago had the factory tires and wheels. Nature of the beast I...

    66 mustang wiper motor question

Dont. Just go with the two speed. They dont work very fast and if you get caught in a heavy summer downpour You will want the high speed. Trust me, been there done that.

    Cobra brake swap ???

No, this is a complete balljoint that is made to fit into the fox a arm but has the shorter threads to fit the sn95 spindles without using spacers.

    Cobra brake swap ???

Has anyone used the adapter ball joints from Late Model Resto that allows the use of SN-95 spindles without having to use spacers to tighten up the nuts?? I would feel much better going that route that using hardened washers as spacers.

    New Guy lots of Questions

I'm no expert on them but it sounds like the tranny has been hammered on pretty hard. Have you changed the fluid to see what it looks like or see if anything other than fluid comes out. You might have a bad syncro. Does it grind when you shift from first to second? I would bet on a worn out...

thinkin of leaving the windshield molding off, questions

You will have to do one of two things to make it look right or even finished. 1: You would have to have a windshield made that is bigger to go to the edge of the body line to cover what would other wise be a large unsightly gap the whole way around the glass. 2: You use the original windshield...

What happened to the 2.3 Stangs?

Usually I just look at the tech section of the 2.3 forum. I have two 2.3's. One is in an '88 t-top car with 237K on the car. The engine is painted blue so i dont know what the mileage might be on it. I also have a '84 SVO. That is my toy.

    Looking for advice from painters

I would defineatly do a test fit. instead of using rivets just get some nuts and bolts that are the same size diameter as the rivets and use them to bolt on temperarily. You dont have to put one in every single hole, just every other one or so.

    stronger hatch lifts

Yeah, I thought about them being colder too, but I put the louvers on when it was about 50 degrees or so and it did it then too.

what is the must have tools to keep in your fox?

If we are still talking about 5.0 stuff, then the little socket tool to change the TFI on the side of the dizzy. I keep one with me on long trips just in case. Anew serpintine belt if the one on the car is anywhere close to being questionable.

    Coolant mixing with Oil

I would suspect a cracked or warped head before a cracked block. Do you know the history of the engine prior to buying the car?? Whas it raced or anything like that? Did you tear the engine down to a bare block or did you just take the heads and intake off??

    stronger hatch lifts

Yes it has the spoiler but now it has the extra weight of a set of louvers and now they will not hold the hatch up. The louvers are plastic on the ends but the slats themselves are made of aluminum making them heavier than normal. Before the louvers where put on the hatch stayed up just fine.

    stronger hatch lifts

I put a set of louvers on my wifes '91 and now the hatch will not stay up. The struts are not very old and I was wondering if anyone knows of a lift that is made to the same size but has a stronger lift capacity?? I did a bunch of looking but could not find the technical data I needed to try...
