Whats is good tranny fluid for 02 Mustang GT 5 speed

I just changed to Royal Purple Synchromax. Shifts even smoother than when the Mobil 1 atf was in there even when cold. I know that Tremec doesn't "recommend" using this, but I went with it anyway and am happy I did. With the 3650 you'll need 4 quarts. It won't run out the hole, but according...

Question for NA 4.6 Club members

I cobbled together my intake using the stock airbox and maf and a densecharger tube. Doesn't look all that pretty, but it works.:p

Who else has had the gears polished

That's most of the entertainment value of this site right there. Most ppl that get smartass comments deserve them. Like U.M. said you gotta have a thick skin to post on this board. If you don't and get all pissed off because someone disagrees with your opinion, then you're going to have a...

    Ordered 4.10's

Exactly right, best mod I've done so far. Did em myself too. I didn't have any problems, but you have to have a press available to do the bearings and to get the old ring gear off. Throw the new ring gear in the oven for a little while and it should slide right on the diff. To do the pinion...

    Pop-pop-poppin' sounds when turning right

I had a similar problem on my 04 and I changed to poly rack bushings. Solved the problem for now mostly. I still hear it very intermittently. One thing I noticed upon changing the bushings was that the sleeve that goes through both bushings was not flush on either end. Like when the metal...

How Bad Do Gears Kill gas mileage?

City driving I don't even bother with gas mileage. Highway driving, it's remained the same about 26 mpg at about 70 mph.

    Need help with gears badly

I've got 4.10's and love em. Was hung up on the choice before there was a thread that someone posted that had some daily driving with 4.10's vids. That sold me. Around town it's not that bad as long as you arent an a$$ about it.

    Factory Wheel Finish

They're polished aluminum that's been clearcoated, lacquered, or whatever you want to call it. Soap and water is the best way to clean them. Don't waste your elbow trying to polish them as you're just trying to polish clearcoat!

    rear rotor question

Rotors are not something that I would buy off of Ebay. Mine, my family, and my friends lives depend on them too much to go cheap on no matter how much feedback someone has. Get them from a reputable dealer so you know that you are getting the real deal and not some scratch and dent(or dropped)...

    Some options

I believe the dyno on the tests done ad MD showed no real gain between the 70 and 75. There's no real difference in price, so I would base it on what you plan to realistically do with the car in the future. Sure everyone wants to get a blower or some other power adder, but is it realistically...

    Some options

Well, I couldn't tell since I did them separately and so far apart, but I know the gains are there. The car definately runs better now than when stock.

    Some options

I bought the Accufab plenum and about a year later the 70mm TB, so I recommend them. Plus I think the accufab pieces have dyno'd to have the most power gains of them all.

Making a Mustang Handle Like a Porsche

You're inviting all of the jokers into this thread with a title like that.:D What tomustang said is you're best bet. Of course there's always... You could install a dvd player in the trunk and an lcd monitor in the driver's sunvisor then put in a video of a current porsche driving...

    New mods installed today

Just got through installing a few mods today so I'll list what they are and what I think about them. 1. Finally upgraded to an Accufab 70mm TB. The stocker came off with no problem and the TPS screws came right off with no problem. I used a 3/8" ratchet with a phillips bit and had no...

problems with gauges, pulled needles off

Yeah they have a machine that they plug them into and it sends something like halfway signals to each gauge and they just plug the needles on. Streetstang was right about the gauge diagnostic settings to set your gauges. I couldn't remember the fuel settings, so I just used a little math...

I got the Steeda 4 bolt as well. Easy install, look great, serves it's purpose. Either of the ones that have been mentioned will be a good choice.

    Best Shifters

Wow, that's an intelligent statement. That's like saying all longtubes are the same, or all gears are the same. I've had the tri-ax and I now have the MGW. The MGW is far better than the Tri-ax(which is still a nice piece). I haven't found anything that I don't like about the MGW...
