I am thinking of an engine swap in the near future and I was wondering if I was to go with a 408 long block or even crate what will swap and what will need to get replaced. Will the headers still fit from my 302, can I use the same intake and distributer etc...... Thanks

    Brakes

I know this is a dumb question, but I am not all that familiar with braking systems and I need to know how to tell if I have single or 4-piston disc brakes. Is there an obvious item to look for that will help identify them with out taking them apart?

    Oil Pressure and RPM Drop

So in conclusion......theres nothing wrong with my car.

    Oil Pressure and RPM Drop

I guess my concern was that whether it was warm or cold it always ran at 50psi, but know all of a sudden it drops to 25psi once I come to a stop. So it sounds like this is a normal occurence for everyone else. I guess I will just retune the carb to bring the idle up.

    Oil Pressure and RPM Drop

Over the weekend while driving my car every time I would come to a stop, the oil pressure would drop to 25psi and my rpm would drop down to 500-600 or so. This has never happened before and my car has always run at 50psi and 900 rpm while idling. What is causing this, and is there problem...

    Squeaky Leafs??

The rear of my mustang makes squeaking noises while driving over bigger bumps so I assummed it was the bad shocks. So I recently replaced all 4 corners with KYB Gas-Adjust's and the rear end still squeaks. I think I have narrowed it down to the rear leafs and was wondering if there was...

    Rear Shocks

To get access to the top bolts on the rear shocks for a 67' fastback do you go through the trunk; or are they located under the rear seat?

    Shocks

Does anybody know many pounds these need to be torqued too?

    Shocks

This might a stupid question but I was wondering if you can install the front shocks on a 67' without jacking the car up. I have access to the bottom 2 nuts with the wheel on so I was thinking that would make this job even easier. I this a bad idea?

    Muffler Placement

Well I was looking at it earlier and I have hangers just before the axle and then there are "non stock" hangers added after the muffler that the guy actually but a tack weld on the threads just after the nut. I guess he was really worried about it coming loose.

    Muffler Placement

Tell me about it....So know I either have to wait until I redo my exhaust or take the damn thing down just to undo 4 bolts.

    Muffler Placement

Another Quick question slightly off topic, but if you can look under your car and see if you have access to all 4 bolts for your front seats. The reason I ask is the way my exhaust system is set up right know iwith the mufflers forward they are in the way of the inside bolts on both seats...

    Muffler Placement

Those of you with 67's and 68's where is your muffler located? The reason I ask is that my current exhaust set up which was done by the PO has the mufflers right after the collector under the seats. Why would you move the muffler that far up; as I am researching for a new exhaust system...

I will check the fluid levels this evening, so if that is the case is there any particular brake fluid that these cars like or is any old brand going to work.
