    Stripes: Decal or paint?

I'm thinking of putting white Shelby-like stripes on my red 98, from top to bottom all the way across, and also the "Mustang" rocker panel stripes below the door. I think they started doing that from the factory with some of the 98 V6's. Anyway, decals or paint? That is the question. Decals are...

    changing the gears

I don't know but if you do, you should get the traction-lock while you're messing around back there, so the power goes to both rear wheels and not just one. I'd be interested to hear if you notice a huge drop in fuel economy, if you get this done. I am considering doing it to mine someday.

    Tuners?

I did a predator tune on my car, and I think eventually it woke it up a little. At first I didn't feel any difference, but now I can tell the shifts are firmer, and the 2-3 shift takes forever under hard throttle, like hanging on until about 4000 rpm. When it finally shifts, the car lunges...

    Need more horses.

The throttle body spacer makes a little bit of difference, nothing that pins you back in the driver's seat, but it's a step in the right direction. I think the Diablosport Predator tuner made a bigger difference.

    Need more horses.

I have dual Flowmasters, cold air intake, and throttle body spacer in my car. It made a little difference. The cheapest way to get big hp is nitrous, but it's not on all the time and you have to keep buying more nitrous. Gears will make the car feel quicker, but it'll hurt your mileage. Gas...

    Potential Owner, a few questions

Mine is a hardtop, which is a little lighter, but I have gotten a lot better than 24mpg. I usually get about 27 with 75% highway miles, and the best I got was 30 mpg on a 100% highway trip. In town, I expect about 20 to 22mpg. Keep it tuned up and keep your foot out of the gas and you'll do well.

Sorry no I haven't, I only wanted to post something if I could be helpful. I have no experience with this.

    What to do

Ouch.. that's a few hundred bucks easily to have those taken out. I'm not sure what you can really do, other than find who's responsible and teach them a lesson. :uzi: If you think someone did it on purpose, they'll probably do it again. You can try to catch them with a camera like I did, or...

    What to do

I had a problem a few years ago with kids messing with my car, so I got a security camera from radio shack, and I swear not 5 minutes after it was up and running, I caught them on tape. I took the tape to the manager of my apartments, told her next time I'm calling the cops, and what do you...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

Well, I may be offensive to some, but you got to admit it's livelier with me here. You all will miss me when I go back to the V6 forum. (It's boring over there, nobody posts jack sh t, except to ask how they can get their V6 around a GT.) Tell you what, I'll compromise: starting now it's clean...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

So you all want me to go? Well in that case I'll stay! I just popped in to find out an answer to one question for a friend of mine that has a 5.0 (can 17 inch bullits fit on a stock 5.0 easily, which I suspected was yes because the '93 Cobra had 17's) then I saw this thread and wondered why in...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

I would NOT move for a truck, especially if it was trying to cut in front of me. It's one thing to say you'd keep on coming, but really you're full of s***. The only time I block a ricer is when they try to get ahead of me just because I'm in a red Mustang. (like if there's a mile of open road...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

Actually Ford's new marketing campaign "drive one" is designed to get people just to LOOK at Ford. I don't remember any patriotism ads "real Americans buy Ford" or anything like that. Although I wouldn't mind seeing it. I'm glad that Ford is topping the quality awards, which forces the media to...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

Ford had more models at the top of JD Powers last summer than Toyota. There was a new article last week that says Ford is "second to none" in quality. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080407/clm057.html?.v=101 Yeah, I guess Ford's just playing around, they're not serious at all. :bs: Have you...

The NUMMI plant in California is one minor alliance that has never meant very much to GM. It has blessed GM with the Geo Prizm, and now the Pontiac Vibe. Not exactly top sellers for GM, and I guarantee GM would gladly trip over itself to shut that plant and deep-six the Vibe if it meant getting...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

During the American Revolution, the hated British employed many people to work for them, thereby supporting the local economy. That does not make it right, or the best thing for America. Today those people who sold out are remembered as traitors. There's a bit of difference between building...
