    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

My job is as a claims adjuster for a finance company, reviewing claims on extended service contracts that people buy for their cars and trucks. People and dealers call me, tell me what problem they are having with their vehicles, and ask if it's covered or not. Believe me, Toyotas and Hondas...

    BUYING A 08 TOYOTA TUNDRA

This may well get me flamed to no end, but so be it, I don't care. For me, the biggest drawback to owning a Toyota would be the shame and humiliation of walking outside every day and seeing a Japanese brand staring me in the face. Toyotas are NO MORE RELIABLE than anything else, IF the...

    16 inch Bullitt wheels?

Thanks for all the replies.. the reason this friend of mine doesn't want to go to 17's is that he's afraid they'll be too big for the wheel well in a Fox and he won't be able to turn. I'm not sure; when I had my '88 5.0 it had the turbine wheels, which I think are 15 inch. Are 17's ok in a stock...

    16 inch Bullitt wheels?

Has anyone seen any 16 inch Bullitt wheels anywhere? I have a friend with a '91 GT who doesn't want to do a 5-lug conversion. Can you get these wheels in 16 inch size, and if so, where? I have tried e-bay and a few wheel/tire sites, no luck.

    3.8L

Wow that woke up the V6 forum.. don't forget you can get the 3.8 pumped up naturally from places like Super Six Motorsports; they claim you can pick up from 75-100+ horses with cams, ported heads, etc. Although, that won't be cheap, and the original question was for cheap horsepower. I'd say...

    difference in years

P.S. yes I was being a sarcastic smart-a$$.. blame the buzz from the oreo double stuffs I gorged myself on. It was not mean spirited so please don't get all offended. The REAL answer to your question is, yes there was a big difference beginning in 1999, the horsepower went from 150 to...

    difference in years

What you want to do is look carefully for the Z38 package. Ford called it that because they wanted to one-up the Camaro Z28, and also after the 3.8 liter engine. They specially modified the 3.8 to put out 380 horsepower, run 12 second 1/4 miles, and still get 35 miles per gallon in the city...

    My sixer (pics)

It was $200 for just the wheels, but there are good deals out there still.. like this one that's on ebay now for example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06-07-08-Mustang-GT-V6-17-x-8-Take-Off-Wheels-Tires_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ66483QQihZ017QQitemZ270214664630QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW...

    My sixer (pics)

don't lose the spoiler, I always think newer Mustangs look naked without them. As for pricey wheels, well, that's why God invented e-bay! I got my set of four 16 inch GT 5 star wheels for $200, in great shape. They improved the look of my car by about 590%.

I'd say keep the spoiler, replace the headlights, and get better wheels. Maybe the windows would look good tinted. You've already got dual exhaust, I see.. the only other thing is I might try to get those door ding strips of plastic off the doors.

What do you guys think about this car?

I'll be really interested in hearing what you think if you get the 3.73s, I have been thinking of doing that, along with T-lock for the rear. No more one wheel squeals.

What do you guys think about this car?

Actually it was downhill all the way, with the wind at my back, and I was in neutral most of the way. It was awesome. Oh and there was no other traffic, especially big logging trucks (yeah Oregon!) to pass. :bs: Actually I was saying that if you found the perfect drive, it may be possible to...

What do you guys think about this car?

The best I ever got was 30 mpg on an all-highway trip, so since the Mustangs have a tank just over 15 gallons, it's possible to get up to 450 miles on a tank.. if you have the perfect conditions. In the real world, if you drive mostly highway, you should have no trouble getting 330 miles per...

I got some more questions for you V6 guys

I'd go with the newer one, because of the lower mileage, and also the 1999 and up V6 has 40 more horsepower than the 1998. As for things to look out for, I have never had a problem with mine and it's up to 124,000 miles. I assume my car has a check engine light, but I've never seen it light up...

What fuel economy are you V6 guys getting?

best I ever got was 30 on the highway, worst was 18 after a lot of heavy stop and go city traffic. Average is about 23 or 24. Mine is an automatic coupe. If you get a stick, it'll be a little higher.

    A few ?'s

Cobra brakes can be bought from Ford or e-bay. Easy to swap in. For 250HP, look at Super Six Motorsports. It will take serious engine work to get big power gains. If you don't want to go that route, the only other choices are nitrous or supercharging or turbo.
