    Draglites flexing/making noise?

Yeah, I forgot about that.... back when I first got the noise, I was up at the tire shop I always use, talking to the guys up there, and told them about the clicking noise. They said they've seen it happen and that sometimes it's the center cap. They said one trick they know of is to...

    Do I need a battery cut-off switch?

I've also heard that the switch must be cleary visible from the outside, like on a taillight, behind the tag, or on the bumper (not under a bumper, etc.) and the "on" and "off' positions must be clearly marked. Other than that, hllon4whls covered everything I've ever heard of.

    Draglites flexing/making noise?

I've had mine for about 3 years and I've removed/remounted them many times for various things....springs, brakes, etc. They did it for the first year I had them, but now they don't do it at all. I think the recommended torquing is like 80 lbs, but I always tighten them to 95-100 lbs. My...

    Draglites flexing/making noise?

Way back when I first got my Welds, one of the front wheels (3.5") would do that when turning slowly. It would go tick, tick, tick. I was also told it was the two-piece design and to just live with it. Other friends of mine with Welds said they had the noise too sometimes. But over the...

TIRE RUB against EXHAUST tail pipe?

I have 265/50R15's right now and they'll clear stock or aftermarket tailpipes, no problem. They have a pretty wide footprint, but aren't really "fat" in the sidewalls. 275/50R15's are very close in size to the 265's. If they rub the tailpipes, it will only be slightly. A simple heating...

TIRE RUB against EXHAUST tail pipe?

If you take it to a muffler shop, or have access to a torch, you can heat up the tailpipe's hangers and then push the tailpipes in the direction you want them to go and they'll move out of the way. I've done it like that many times, even for 295/50R15's. A good muffler shop will know how to...

    Shifter ball cup

Yes it is important. My old car had that piece missing and the shifter arm was loose and floppy and shifting was not easy. When I bought my PRO-5.0 shifter and installed it without the piece, it was the same thing. I asked a friend if I could remove his shifter and see if there was...

    Simple audio question

I would just run new speaker wire for all the speakers. That's what I did with both my Mustangs. That way, you know for sure what's positive and negative. It's not that hard to do and gives piece of mind that everything's right. As far as an actual diagram for the factory wiring, here's...

    Installed New Door Armrest Pads...

Hey 90MustangGT, what did you do with your originals? I'm about to install a roll bar and need an extra set to modify to fit with the door bars.....condition doesn't matter. I have black interior and am not going to hack up the originals. You probably trashed them, but I thought I'd ask...

    Damage estimate

Hey, where in N.C. are you? I'm in Florence, SC and have alot of what you would need. I completely disassembled my wrecked 90' GT and have most of the parts left. I used all the GT's body stuff to put on my 91' LX, so I have a bunch of the LX body stuff too. I have an LX bumper...

Whats the size of the door speakers in a Fox?

I dunno.... I thought they were all 6.5". I had these 6.5" sonys in my old 90' GT and just put them in my current 91' LX. They fit in the holes perfectly with no spacers or alterations to the hole. Neither the GT nor the LX had speakers in the doors, so I didn't have an original one to...

Anyone with Eibach Drag launch kit?

I've never heard of having any real problems with facing the springs in different directions. I think they just tell you to do that so that the springs will face in the direction they were meant to and the height will be right. I dunno... Yeah, I could have left the airbag in and...

Anyone with Eibach Drag launch kit?

The rule of thumb I had always heard, and it was in the Eibach's instructions that came with the kit.... the bottom coil on the spring should point towards the driver's side, like <----- We did mine like that and the passenger's side was a good 1/2" to 3/4" higher than the driver's side...

Whats the size of the door speakers in a Fox?

Dash = 3.5" Door = 6.5" Rear = 6x8" I just put 6.5" in my doors Friday. They fit perfectly. Crutchfield.com lists 5.25" and 6.5" for the doors. The 6.5" I installed fit perfectly in the holes.

To Pin or not to Pin? Need your help guys!!

I have pins for two reasons. For one, the hole for the bolt that holds the secondary latch to the underside of the hood is stripped out, so I have no safety latch. Also I think they look very racey and hardcore. One day I was going down the highway and looked at my hood and thought "the...

Anyone with Eibach Drag launch kit?

I have the drag launch kit and it leaned to the driver's side also. I always wondered if the airbag in the right side was making it sit higher, so last time we were up under there (welding subframes), I removed the airbag and now the car sits perfectly level. I know that the un-even lean that...

Hey FoxChassis! I was about to post about the "chassis, not body" thing, saw your post-to-end-all-posts, looked to see who posted it, and was not suprised at all that it's good ole' FoxChassis from MustangGTregistry ( www.mustanggt.org ).... the man who is an encyclopedia of Mustang...

Ordering a New Door Handle...Which side?

All LH and RH (left hand, right hand) parts are viewed as you sit in the car. I used to wonder the same thing, but asked around and have since noticed this with every part I've bought or seen. Hope this helps!

3" or 3.5" exhaust tips? Foxbodys please post pics

My color is code KA, or "light crystal blue metallic". It is the car's stock color that was used on LX's only. I don't know why they called it blue, since it looks very silver.... but in some light, it does have a blue-ish hue to it. My rear Welds are 15x8 with 5.5 backspacing, and yes...
