    You can warp exhaust valves when you run with no headers or very short ones, but your long tubes should be fine.

    The clutch is was most likely caused bearing damage. Its much heavier than the plastic fan. I personally don't like the flexfans because they roar something fierce. Check out the local junkyards for a new fan and buy a new clutch. I found a decent fan in a lincoln.

    I had the same problem with the fan on my bike. I pulled it apart, and there was brush material all over the commutator segments. I cleaned it with contact cleaner and it fixed it. Maybe your fan is maintenance free and you can't do that:shrug:

    I would check the ring gaps with feeler gages. I can't tell you the specs, but you should be able to find them. I know its just the top ring that you can check, but its good indication of ring wear. Also I would measure the ridge where the piston stops.

    low and high impedance injectors

    Impedence is a combo of resistance, inductive reactance, and capacitive reactance measured in ohms. I've heard that low impedence injectors require more current but open quicker and vice versa for the high impedence but im not sure.

    3.73 pinion depth??

    I checked mine before gear change and after gear change with a depth mic using the factory shims and it was within thousandths. That was a 2.73 to 3.73 gear change.

    If you want to paint them, get an alodine kit(chem film), zinc chromate primer, and paint. Scuff to bare aluminum with aluminum oxide paper or scotchbrite, clean with alcohol, do the alodine, rinse with water, primer, and paint.

    While working on the alt. on my 89 tempo, it has the same 2G wiring setup as the mustang, I noticed the S terminal doesn't connect to the alt. at all. Thus has no voltage going to the reg. The black/white wire is there and the connector blade is bonded into the connector, but not conductively...
