Car in for axle whine now almost a week...

That sucks... Did the whine develop as you drove or was it there from the begining?

    Is this to expensive

Unless you know the person doing the work - expect to pay a decent amount for a gear install that doesn't whine after it's all said and done. 400 - 600 seems about average for a simple swap

Ford sells mustang rights to TOYOTA

The Media led us all down an incorrect path... I too thought this was true until I read a statement by Allen Mullay in the newspaper stating that he had only gone to Japan to learn about lean Manufactuing from the experts. I thought it was VTAK

Ford sells mustang rights to TOYOTA

    Ford Interceptor concept

I'm glad you bring this up - because it is one area that I do think Chrysler screwed up in after the first couple years of major success. They simply overbuilt (oversaturated) the dealership lots with these cars so now most people probably think they can get one when ever they want to. The...

    Ford Interceptor concept

Sorry - the MKR is the one I want to see (more so than the interceptor) but if I were to really get my way, I'd like both cars. And I don't want to sound all harsh and stuff... we are both arguing the same points I think. And I'll give you the fact that the 300 does look similar to the...

    Ford Interceptor concept

Chryslers design would have to of been finalized before the 427 hit the NAIAS show floor in January 2003. The inital design review process would have begun in the summer of 2001. The clay models of the 300 would have been ready to go by summer of 2002. Kicking off of the Prototype...

    Ford Interceptor concept

It's hard to tell becuase in 2004 Chrysler had just started selling the 300C... I'm not arguing the fact that Ford had the Concept out before the 300, but you all should know that it takes about 3.5 years to develop a car from design to production. And with the 300 (or LX platform) this...

    Ford Interceptor concept

What if this is a preview of the powertrain that'll end up in the next generation Mustang? Now that Hobo mentioned it, the headlights do look like the front end of a Truck. Those need to be changed, but I like the low & long look for sure.

    2008 or 2010?

But the compression ratio on the existing 3V is already 9.8 isn't it? If you go too much higher, Ford runs the risk of not being able to use 87 Octane... The Tune could be changed.. That I wouldn't mind at all A larger bore would be nice, because that would allow for larger valves and we...

    Ford Interceptor concept

It's about time that Ford got off their collective asses (in the design studio) and started thinking about designs that actually make people interested in their products. The interceptor is just a concept, but it does take aim directly at the 2004 COTY winner (the 300C) which was selling...

    2008 or 2010?

The big refresh is pushed back to a 2010 MY... Meaning it'll be out in August of 2009. I've heard that it'll have the same 4.6L 3V but somehow it gets a magical 350 horse power. Personally, I'm hoping for IRS

    04 vs. 05+

If it were me - I'd wait until you have the appropriate funds and then get the newer car. Improved structure, better rear end and cooler look (opinion)

Anybody know how to get rid of the seatbelt safety chime???

I don't think anyone is meaning to offend... We as individuals all have an opinion and as such, our views are quiet different. I have stated the facts and I hope that someone in the future will see them and think twice about going un-buckled but that is up to them.
