    Anyone with a catted H-pipe?

Yea I also have the stock catted H-pipe, but it will not work with the long tubes. Thanks for the offers though. I tried going through DEQ without the cats and here are the results: NOX standard: 3.00 readings: 3.74 FAIL CO standard: 30.0 readings: 51.5 FAIL Noise FAIL ... and...

    Anyone with a catted H-pipe?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out and let me borrow their catted H or X-pipe for long-tube headers? My car (1992 GT) has 3-month expired tags and I bought two brand new cats I was going to have welded in but the exhaust shops that would do it (there were few) wanted over $200! That was...

how much it cost to run low 12's

I thought Lightnings used 5.4L motors, maybe I'm wrong though. Anyway, if he did pick up a running 351W for $700 he got incredibly lucky.

how much it cost to run low 12's

9.5" rims are usually the widest you can fit in the back without fenderwell modification or air bag suspension lift.

how much it cost to run low 12's

That will cost more than $2000 for all of that. I would estimate $3000.

    Strange idle problem

Here is the problem I've been having ever since I took off my lower intake manifold and then reinstalled it (it was leaking oil before): whenever I am coming to a stop, and put the car in neutral, it remains idling high (like 1500-1800 rpms) until I come to a complete stop. If I put the car in...

    Dyno Numbers in!

Thanks again Jeff for all your help. Unfortunately, I won't be at the races for awhile. Not only am I broke, but my car has been leaking oil like a sieve ever since I did the H/C/I install. I narrowed the leak down to the lower intake gasket, where I used RTV to make a gasket. Apparently, I...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

Unfortunately I can't afford to buy a $260 throttle body that works for my current setup to gain maybe 5hp and then replace it again a few months later to best suit a supercharger. When I talked to Ed I was going to order a N/A setup from him, I didn't even mention a supercharger and he...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

I don't understand why you would multiply the rear wheel number by 15% and then add it to the rear wheel number. Since the power starts at the motor and travels through the drivetrain, it would make more sense to find what 15% of the flywheel horsepower is and then subtract that from the...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

Actually if you consider 15% drivetrain loss, then 358.99 flywheel hp is the actual number. I was always told 15% drivetrain loss is the standard for a 5 speed, that's why I said "close to 360 at the flywheel." Anyway, I was told by Ed Curtis at Flowtech Induction, when I was originally...

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

I did a compression test with the stock heads awhile back and here were the results: 1- 120 2- 120 3- 125 4- 125 5- 115 6- 120 7- 125 8- 120 Of course, at that time my car rarely smoked. Now it smokes all the time! I need to do another compression test or a leak down test and find...

I'll post the graph as soon as I have access to a scanner, maybe later today. I agree, I don't think the 75mm TB is hurting any performance.

    Dyno Numbers in!

Probably an engine rebuild. Ever since I did the H/C/I install the car blows a little blue smoke. I don't think it likes the extra power! I would like to supercharge it also, but I know for sure that boost will be the end of that motor. I also need to get some sticky tires and head off to the track!

dyno numbers for Trick Flow combo

I don't see why you would expect more. The motor has over 144k miles on it, and the rings are going out (blows blue smoke). The shop I brought it to said it was the most power they've seen with the Trick Flow kit on an N/A 302. 305 rwhp puts it close to 360 at the flywheel. What did you expect...
