    Generally if you don't go past a 1.5" drop you won't need c/c plates. I'm using eibach pro kit and didn't need c/c plates. The mach 1 tokicos work well with these springs. This combo works pretty well as far as a good lowered look and nice firm ride. Cost isn't too bad either...

    mach 1 chin splitter

    I've seen mach 1's that don't line up perfectly at the wheel wells from the factory either.If you want to line up at the wheel well you won't be flush at the front of your bumper. Stretching the chin spoiler does help in getting closer to a flush fit but it won't be perfect. They still look good...

    Shifters

    I don't know what the big deal is re: tri ax noise. You'll barely notice it and the real pay off is the shifting. I went through the same thing before I got mine, wish I had put it on sooner. Get the tri ax you won't regret it...

    I don't think the mach 1 springs drop is much more than 3/4" compared to gt's. I put the eibach pro kit springs on my gt and I've had my car sitting next to the mach 1 and my stance is noticeably lower. I did have to replace my stock shocks.
