    As long as the wheel well liner was still on your car and in decent shape then there's not much of an issue with water getting into the intake. I had basically the same thing on my old 5.0 and never had an issue with it. It's an okay price but I'm pretty sure you can find a cheaper one out there...

    The axle bearings in the rear end and the pilot bearing for the tranny are the first ones that spring to mind. You can also use it as a dent puller. I picked mine up for about $30 at harbor freight.

    Firstremove the driveshaft and reinstall it a half turn from where it is now. I think you can only install it 2 ways but I'm not sure. On mine you can see the outline in the surface rust from where it was installed at the factory.

    Have you tried adjusting your shifter stops to allow more throw to set the tranny deeper in the gears? As for the vibes. Are you sure that you have the driveshaft in the correct position instead of 180* out maybe?

    Pull the assembly out of the tank. Have someone watch the fuel gauge while you move the float up and down by hand. You may want to have a bucket or a bowl of gas to keep the suction of the pump in while you have it out of the tank and power applied.

    Has your stang been regeared? Might want to open the diff and see what gears are in it and what gear you have driving the speedo cable before you go after a new cluster. Does the needle go down as you empty the tank? If not you might want to drop the tank and check the float.
